My apologies for the multiple off-topic posts this week, I blame the rain! However, I have just been listening to Steve's Podcast Gadgets and Gizmos and understand Steve's now got a new image.

Good to see an IR image from you, Loyd. I haven’t shot any IR for a while now. Might get some images during this summer when I can walk properly.

Hope for your full and speedy recovery Gordon. I can relate, my left ankle has 'given up the ghost', I must now rely on a cane to get around. Hiking and such is no longer possible, photography has become difficult at best to find good subject matter.

This was an attempt to create an 'old school' 1950'ish infrared image with the softness and flare of long exposure Kodak IR film...

Kip's Big Boy was extremely popular here in the late fifties and early sixties... it's trademark burger was outstanding. I am convinced that the Big Mac is a total ripoff of the Kip's original burger, but of much lesser quality.

When I saw that you had commented I thought you might pick me up on the fact that I had moved Roswell from New Mexico to Utah 😱

That looks just like a Kodak IR film would look like. I remember making a couple of IR lookalikes but have forgotten how to do it.

Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your own ankle. I’m finding it bad enough with a temporary injury; it would drive me bonkers if it was permanent.

Ha... not me, 'Photochop' cheats and artistic license allows one to get away with anything.

Location, location, location... Death Valley was probably not a good choice.

Ant, your Kate & Wills image made me smile. Especially the poppy in Wills' jacket which we only see normally in November.

This may seem like an odd compliment but I really like the interior in this. It is something that I found surprisingly difficult.

That being said, and since you have drawn attention to the moving clouds, we should be seeing them through the end windows ........ but, as picky goes, that is PICKY!

David thank God you're picky, I have now corrected the window/sky problem, and I again thank you for your sharp observation.

Re: Challenge 995: Fatboy's Diner
ANNOUNCEMENT

After testing ALL of the video editors, I found Filmora 13 to be head and shoulders above the rest of the pack with its "no brainer" extremely easy and highly intuitive interface; for example, instead of having to make a dozen or more "obscure" moves to remove the black screen background, I just drag the Remove Black Screen BG thumbnail onto the clip containing the black screen and it's GONE!

Please click on the image below to get a larger picture.

To illustrate this last point I have created one of my very best works to date: A raging forest fire which is in MP4 format.

To see it please click on the icon below, and you will be directed to IMGUR where it should loop automatically; however, if does not then go to the top right-hand corner of the image where you'll see three black dots. Click on that in the drop-down memory select Loop from the first option.
