Not sure about the Turin shrouds Ben, but "Public Purse" is just perfect! A clever tongue in cheek reflection of the controversy surrounding this one.

Um ....... Yes ........ it is Loyd ..........

One of my first thoughts was klu klux (after witches) but I couldn't think how to incorporate it. This is classic Ant humour. My smile for today.

Lots of dinos from you in recent weeks Gordon. The dog is great touch.

I got really stumped by this one. This is barely on brief .... but I did retain the rope as requested. Although this is made from an existing poster/screensaver (attached) it contains a huge amount of rebuild and hidden work. Far too much in the end ..... lots of effort for not very much oooomph!. Some you win and some ......

The ropes in Steve's photo made me think of this. Here's the source.

I just realised, coming back to this, that it would have been much better with log carriers bringing a used roller from the back to the front.

Shan't be changing it now. Spent too much time on it already.

Thanks David, thats what I was aiming for. I'm not happy with my 3rd entry. My first thoughts when I saw the roles was also Gulliver's Travels & I even downloaded some images but I couldn't make it work. Your entry looks good.

Befitting entries: love the moose, Gulliver, purse, peeved off lady(Loyd), Trump-Nigel, dog squirting his opinion on the matter.
As quoted "intended to provoke debate"
A few laughs.

Such diverse and funny entries. I love the Gulliver's Travels. Very clever David only using the rope from the image.
Loyd, what else could it be other a moose? Haha. Good one.

I seem to be having difficulties with posting the static image. Will continue to try.

Yes it did! A very tricky thing to attempt and very well done!

Re: Challenge 1012: Unwrap me
First to unwrap the sculpture this week was lwc, with a splendid take on Snow White. I like the dog, which adds human (canine) interest. An alligator with a turtle on its back? Really? Your tail is… reasonably convincing. The cats are fun. The animated statue is seriously disturbing. I’d love to see something like that in real life! The waving punting sign works very well. And I did enjoy the moose.

DavidMac's wobble image is fun, with Uncle Bulgaria (subs – please check) waiting at the entrance to the common. I like the lighting. The Gulliver entry is fantastic, and must have taken a phenomenal amount of work. The feet are, of course, at the wrong angle but I won’t mention that. Damn, it slipped out. All those tiny people add a huge amount to the final effect, and the lighting is beautiful. The shark entry is full of menace, and it fits immaculately into the sea beneath the surface. Blend If is king!

A brilliant idea from Frank, showing the wrapped sculpture being unveiled. The shadow really makes it. And a great pose for Gavin Turk. The rubbish entry is even better. I like this one a lot.

That’s artist Gavin Turk again, in Ben Boardman’s public purse. A pretty purse, but the shadow beneath the clasp should be reshaped to fit the vertical surface:

The reclining figure works remarkably well, neatly restrained by the ropes. And the figure in the translucent shroud is an interesting idea – but what’s going on above her head?

A touch of politics from Ant Snell, who’s clearly not impressed by Nigel Farage’s recent election to parliament. (If you don’t know who Nigel Farage is, think yourselves lucky.) The transformation of the end of the shape into a KKK robe is especially effective.

A beautifully wrapped dinosaur from GKB, nicely constrained by the ropes. Not sure about the use of a sans serif font for the inscription. Of course, it’s the dog that really makes it.

I was absolutely bowled over by tooquilos's transparent shroud. The view through it has been perfectly constructed, the shine on the covering is realistic, the shark inside really looks as if it’s in there. Best of all, for me, is the appearance of the ropes on the other side of the covering, which add hugely to the realism. And of course the discarded shroud in front of it. It works spectacularly when it’s animated – the swimming eel, the hurled rock, the water pouring out over the edge, followed by the fin in the water… just brilliant, Anna. You’ve really excelled here.

Re: Challenge 1012: Unwrap me
Thanks Steve.
Yes, I know that engraving ought to be in a serif font but on this occasion I figured it might look better.

I was going to plastic wrap Dino but just couldn’t make it work
