http://vimeo.com/1049178339 It's surprising how natural Trump's face is in these images. And Harry looks like he was born for this role! ![]() _________________ Dorothy: Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore |

I don't know how this happened. I was doing hard surface tutorials last night, in preparation for my robot challenge when I ended up being sidetracked. Well, I really needed break. Those techniques are confusing. ![]() _________________ The grass is greener on the other side of the fence because there is more $hit there. |

This week has brought lots of interesting entries. Too many to get personal but good stuff! _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 1037: The organ grinder
First to operate the organ this week was lwc, with a neatly rotating hand. I like the recoloured tablecloth, and the head movements – and of course that rather splendid monkey. Is the seagull nodding along in time with the music? That’s a very foggy entry to follow… you can barely make out the dancing girls. Still, Harry looks pleased with himself. Is that Biden in the third entry? Can’t quite make him out under that hat. The seagulls are enjoying it. A superior organ base from DavidMac, very neatly worked into the original. That’s a much more splendid cart, too, and he certainly looks better without the microphone. What a pushy monkey! Surely in the second entry you have Trump and Musk the wrong way round? And thanks for the fanfold history. It looks like Ant Snell has given the organist some serious competition. Hope they’re all playing the same tune. The reference to the PG Tips chimps is a good one! A 3D monkey from GKB, and a neatly HotChiPs branded organ. And of course, every top hat needs a rabbit. I don’t quite understand the organist’s arm movement in the animated version – but more than made up for by the appearance of Feathers McGraw. (And that has to be the most ghastly version of the Marseillaise I’ve ever heard.) Great arm movement from michael sinclair, with a rather spiffing new organ as well. But why is he leaning over to the right like that? Surely you could have straightened up the organ. I like that you’ve moved it to elsewhere in La Rochelle – and further along the quayside in the second entry. Again, though, why the lean to the right? Well that should keep the rain off… Frank's charming entry has a couple of very generous contributors. What’s the significance of the girl’s face pasted on the front of the organ? A tropical setting from tooquilos, with theatrical curtains neatly covering the bottom of the cart. What’s the monkey waiting for? Aha – a bizarre dancing French monkey in the animated version! There’s something I can’t quite make out going on at the far side of the bay. Fun. A very atmospheric Victorian scene from dwindt, with excellent lighting throughout. And is that a monkey in Christmas garb? Beautifully done, Dennis, a really evocative scene. A thorough rebuild from Mariner, with a wholly new organist and a charming organist’s apprentice. Not sure about the angle of the hand holding the flag, and I think the Animal Liberation Front will have issues with the maltreatment of the monkey. A fun week. |

I love doing 'structural' rebuilds.
That thought certainly crossed my mind. Time will tell ............
It was fun to revisit my beginnings and first equipment. Makes one realise how far we have come! _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Thanks Steve, no significance - that deco was on the replacement and I decided to leave it there. |

Thanks Steve. Lovely entries everybody. Yes, that's a very simple model of a sad monkey in a bellhop's uniform. ![]() _________________ The grass is greener on the other side of the fence because there is more $hit there. |
