Oh wow! Cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches with the crusts trimmed. Just like my grandma used to make!

I know there's always a reason and back story to your images Michael, but courtship to a double base with Napoleon hanging over the mantel has me guessing ............... but very nicely done!

I would have like to have spent more time on this one, but rushed this week.

haha! I love the animation Gordon.

That is some restoration, Michael. Job well done.

Thanks David.
The back story: Captain Guillaume Albert François de Marseilles has been chasing this flighty piece for some time but has always met with some resistance. She likes him well enough but is playing hard to get. Finally, on a bright moonlit night, she agrees to come to his cabin for wine, sandwiches and snails. He lays on a string quartet (off to the left) and has a bottle of champagne put on ice, to loosen things up a bit.

Re: Challenge 1083: The decrepit room
First to visit the spooky room this week was Ben Boardman, with splendid added grime (but don’t forget the ceiling). I particularly like the man sitting at the table, who matches the room perfectly. And your vignette effect works well to draw the viewer into the image. Is that a ghostly accordion player? And what is the man behind the table sitting on? The chap under the cat looks like he’s had enough.

A fine rebuild from GKB, who has clearly been raiding his library of 3D objects. The Dyson vacuum cleaner is a particularly entertaining touch. I like the desk, but perhaps two oil lamps is overdoing it. I really enjoyed the animated version, with all the floating elements; the dust puff as the chandelier hits the floor is good. As is the shark. Splendid.

I see Ant Snell has been taking the shipwreck theme to heart, and this underwater scene is truly beautiful: the angle of the room really accentuates the sensation of being beneath the sea, with the tilted chandelier really pushing the point home (brilliant, I wouldn’t have thought of that).

Zombie time for Frank, with five of the undead rampaging through the room. I especially like the one breaking through from the floor above. This is terrific, Frank – a really well considered, imaginative entry achieved to perfection.

I like DavidMac's Horror Hospital scene, especially with the explanation of how the monster was made. And the woman is perfect, but why are you convinced she’s AI?

A fine Christmas scene from lwc, with discarded Santa boots. The tree fits snugly in there, the cobwebs tying it all together. Very enjoyable. I managed to watch the animated version by turning on a VPN and pretending I was in the USA – love the Santa boots coming down the fireplace! Interesting that the content is allowed in the US and not in the UK. Must be due to your current ultra-liberal administration.

A total rebuild from Mariner, with well-selected furniture – that dresser is perfectly in 19th century French style. A huge amount of work has clearly gone into this. Glad you’ve given the cello a player, although you seem to have turned it into a double bass in the process. Does the woman at the table have a dwarf fetish?

I’m guessing from tooquilos' jellyfish that this is underwater – a feeling accentuated by the view through the hole in the ceiling. I like the floating debris. The animated version begins with the view from the inside of a submarine – clever! And plenty of fishy motion. Very cute.

Outstanding work this week, everyone.

Ha! Just below her chair you can see his bended knee. He is making some sort of a proposal.

He is standing behind the table. And yes a ghostly accordion player.

That might be interesting ................

This one was fun and brought back memories. Thanks Steve.

I am not convinced about the woman being AI, I only suspect it. Something to do with the slickness and over the top expression. Maybe I'm just paranoid.
