First to board the bus this week was lwc, with many royal references, including the hapless Prince Harry. I like all the detail covering up the original photos, and of course the pub background. Have you found a new source of political caricatures, Loyd? Or is AI churning them out for you? The self-driving bus is perfect. Love the flashing indicator! And the animated caption is inspired. Of course buses will forever be associated with Boris Johnson, for reasons too complicated to go into here. I like the glass on the floor, and the Shakespeare reference. FYI that photo on the side of the driver’s door is the Black Friar pub on the north side of Blackfriars Bridge. I was never that convinced by Margaret Rutherford as Miss Marple, but here she is gatecrashing a Poirot parody. Who’s the chap in the black and white photo? And what’s the Luger doing on the floor? A nicely composed straightforward entry, although the bus is heading for the grass verge, on the wrong side of the road, and with a very distracted driver. A trip to the underworld from GKB, with The Grim Reaper as the driver. The jiggling ferry replacement service (bus) works well, but surely the driver should also jiggle independently? I like the change of interior lighting when he reaches Hades. A bit of reconstructed history from DavidMac, with a reconstituted Jim Neale once again in the driving seat. Good to see you’ve done your research! A splendidly cleaned-up interior, with all the paraphernalia stripped out. A perfect perspective match on the street outside – and I suppose there’s no real reason why the Hastings Building Society shouldn’t have a branch in Burwell. In retrospect, Cliff Richard was an obvious choice. Rotate Object might be able to turn him so he’s looking in the right direction. But – oh! The background! Write out 100 times: Vanishing point lines always lead to the horizon. A remake of The Italian Job from Ben Boardman, with Michael Caine in the driving seat and all three of the minis (you can just glimpse the third through the windscreen) hurtling through the streets. The draped map is cute. No need to blow the bloody doors, off, they’re already open. I’m not aware of the Magic School Bus, but this is a very coherent image – I assume AI cartoonising the bus? It’s done a very effective job. Nicely put together. But don’t forget to glaze your windows, even in a cartoon. A tribute to the England team’s failure (Argentina)/success (France) from Ant Snell, ingeniously incorporating the opening into a full-size bus, with key members of the team on the top deck and peering out of the windows. Nicely done. It might have been possible to correct the perspective on the opening, but only with some difficulty. It would have been easy to make the wheel round, though. Cheech (but not Chong, or perhaps the other way around) from dwindt, in a bus that is indeed speeding. I like the interior stripped of all its memorabilia. A great pose for the driver. Ah – there they are, reunited. Groovy interior. A tribute to a much-loved TV show from tooquilos, neatly fitting the entire cast into the bus on the immaculately crafted DVD and library case. For a moment there I thought this was the real thing… top job, including the plastic wrap. And I haven’t heard that theme music since the 1970s! A splendid reconstruction from Mariner, building the entrance into a full-size bus. The perspective on the interior left is still a little extreme, given its new distance from the camera; I gave it a quick go but it’s a really tricky job to sort out. That aside, though, it’s a rather beautiful bus. I think the passengers may be a touch on the large side. |

Thanks Steve. That perspective was too much for me. I spent a couple of hours fiddling with it. Passengers too big? I tried different sizes but couldn't seem to guess right. The woman getting on the bus should be a guide. By the way, you didn't mention her right arm which looks a bit odd. |

Well yes ..... and no! Yes to the second. I did research the high street and according to Google the photo I used is the high street at around the time the bus took its last trip which was 1979. But now the big NO! I also found and researched the driver, Jim Neale…….. but then made really a stupid mistake! The photo I used of him driving the bus in supposedly 1979 was taken in 2012 (as you can see from the bus behind him. 
He should have been thirty three years younger in my last bus image!! …….. oooooops.
The only picture I could find of him in the bus was incredibly low res. I had to up-res with Topaz and, as is so often the case with AI, the result (which I used) was incredibly close but no longer quite the real Cliff Richard of the original. When I tried rotating as well the same problem cropped up again. The shift was once again minute but, combined with the first, he really lost his “Cliffness” ………. so I didn’t use the rotated version.
Oh dear me yes!! Woods and trees again ……… I was so concentrated on keeping the grapevines visible that I missed that completely! No AI, just Google image searches. So far, I haven't knowingly used AI for any entries.
He is Stringer Davis, her real life husband, appeared in many of her movies. Luger is a clue to the murder...lol.
It was parked, positioned to get the Burwell sign in the pic, and with the driver posing for the photo-shoot.
