Hi Y'all,

I'm am planning to make an animated banner. I can't find information on format etc.

Can someone point me in the right direction.

Thanks
Ben

Required size is 750 x 150

Gif animation files need to be kept as small as possible.

I doubt that a video can be used, Steve would have to answer that.

Giphy as a hosting site makes the animations smaller when uploaded and are not useable on this forum. You would need to find another host. If you find one let me know, I have had no success in doing so.

Good luck....!

Thanks Lyod, I made a gif in Photoshop, 118 kb.

Upload it to the banner design section and Steve will decide if it can be used... I have made lots of banners that will never be used.

Geez, after chirping so much, is that all you've got...lol

If it's chirping you want try this .

I had this as a 75rpm record when I was a tiny tot and played it on my wind up gramophone with the HMV dog on the inside of lid.

I loved it then ....... but it hasn't stood the test of time very well.

That's classic. I swear that song was composed whilst watching the stylus bob up and down in the fashion they use to. Almost the same rhythm.

For those who remember Max Headroom, an MTV favourite, if I remember correctly.

This will be my last entry for a few weeks as I am about to embark on an 'around France road trip in the camper. I might even pay La Rochelle a visit to see if it lives up to its reputation.

I shall miss your weekly sideways look at life Ant and the smiles I get from it.

La Rochelle is worth visiting. Lovely and not over hyped.

And it stopped everything.......... Good one David.

I thought of those guys last night, yours is much better than anything I would have done. It's time for me to re-group.

Truth to tell, it took much longer than I intended.

Ever stood in a long queue for ages only to be told the system is off-line just as you reach the window.

In a drab and colourless photograph such as this week's FC I feel compelled to add as much light and shade as I can.

Michael your link doesn't seem to be working. No error shows but I am taken to a completely blank page.

Same thing. No errors but I am taken to a completely blank page.

Both old and new links take me here:

It shows as a blank white page.

Re: Challenge 1121: The vending machine
Just tested a bit more. Safari browser and DuckDuckGo browser show same blank page. No luck!

But ............ Google Chrome does show your image. I have no idea why this should be, because all other Flickr links work perfectly in Safari and DuckDuck go. It's a complete mystery to me.

So very nicely done Michael. I really like the feeling and lightness ......

....... but I can't help feeling that the machine is quite a bit too wide for its slot.

David, it's good you finally got the picturre.

Optical illusion?
It's a direct cut and paste from its original slot. I just had to add the near side.
