Excellent entries so far. Removing those glasses is not easy.

This may take a while to load :-

GKB, That's a cool way to show your picture, did you do the animation in photoshop?

Welcome to the forum. I'm a newbie at photoshop too. I find the book how to cheat in photoshop very helpful, I'm gradually working my way through it. Magazines and online free tutorials may also help you too, good luck.

Verry good GKB but attention to his left eye which I think is a little too dark!

Cl&m&nt, I think I know what you mean by brown stain now.
I believe it is his scalp under his comb-over.

GKB, I'm not sure if it's just me, but I think there may be some glare from the glasses still on your final image (top of both of both eyes).

It depends on if you want it to seem really old or not!
it may also depend on the lighting.

This is not complicated if you follow the book and ask questions when you can not.
Sure it takes work but it's worth it!

Steve, he went there in his younger days and received a pair of reactolites free. I've heard he was a bit of a cool cat in his day.

Re: Contest 238: Contact lenses, anyone?
Thanks all. I don’t often do gifs but I thought it would be a good idea with this particular image. It took me more time figuring out how to do it than the ‘still’ image….and I still haven’t figured out how to get the file size down to a sensible level! Becky, Anna and James I think I need some tuition here.

C@zzy, The animation was done in Image Ready. Yes, you’re right about the little bit of reflection on his right eye (as you look at him). In my defence I’m working on a 12” laptop in a hotel room and it got missed. I can’t see it with the other eye, though. I like your entry.

Cl&m&nt, I deliberately darkened the eyes down to give a ‘sunken’ look of age. Sorry but I can’t tell on this screen if they are too dark or not.

Tom,

I love your entry, especially the bit about the Dead Sea not feeling very well.

Gordon
