Thank you Gordon. Assuming one doesn't have access to Cinema 4D can the same be achieved in Photoshop?

Yes there is a way. It won't look quite the same but I'll try to knock together tutorial and post it in the Reader's Tutorials section during the next few days.

Very impressive work all! Gordon, that's a wickedly cool tank. Really nice work, I'll look forward very much to that tutorial

Sorry there's no entry from me this week, I did make an attempt but found it much too difficult for my humble skills.

It does seem a bit difficult. I'm trying to get some weird elements together, hope can do it.....

...so in the meantime if you don't mind here is prequel of work in progress, .....my sister's friend giving me a hand ....... (Sorry Mac guys, a fate more appropriate for *......!*)

Hope I can get a handel on the real composite and post soon (bit short of time ) .........

Days of Future Passed - Moody Blues 2.0

The left vanishing point was easy. The right one, all there is is the bit of an edge of the keyboard.

Josephine, Gerard, Michael; Thank you for your comments.

Josephine, I think your question refers to the moving part of the image, it does appear a little contrary, but if an object moves toward a reflective surface, object and reflection converge.

Re: Contest 249: Damien's iMac
First I just wanna say that I'm kind of embarrassed to post this because it's nowhere near being done but tonight is the only night I had to work on it so I guess I'll post it "as is".
Sorry Steve...no time to create glass cases.
Click on it for larger version if you're bored enough.

Again... if I had more time I would have put blood squirting from the heart and had the screen cutting in and out on every other heart beat, etc....oh well...

There's some really good entries this week.

It was more the fact that when the mac is fully separated its reflection shows it as undivided - that can't be right can it?
Or are my eyes playing up?

Re: Contest 249: Damien's iMac
Fixed the reflection at the left side after Steve's comments last weekend, missed the error so had to fix it:

Here is an attempt. Could benefit from a bit more work, but all for now from me. (Following prequel, reverted to lazer when found the axe and wedge were too rustic )

... this is what happened when the subject searched for a cheap lobotomy abroad...... some how it got lost in translation and went way too far! Damien was interested though (one of his assistants did it) ... The neurological impact was interesting .. ref:Oliver Sacks

Enjoying your later entries too! Great stuff.

Les - great image.
Yes, my brain is frazzled also - I really need to learn a 3D programme. Could have carried on tinkering with this forever - but the sun is shining! After this one I hope the 250th isn't going t be to difficult!

Josephine, I accept your point. I have also realised the reflection is the wrong way round.
