Indeed Alex is poorly positioned, it did not shock me, but now that you've told me, I see it. Thank you for that and thank you for the explanation on the choice of my second entry. |

Ha - you're right! But look at the top left of the picture, where the roof and chimney are lit up. Doesn't that look like a ghost to you? |

Now you mention it, it does. Something must have been guiding my hand. |

Re: Challenge 426: Spook the street
Thanks as ever for the comments Steve. I did light up a window on the left hand side of the image. I tried one of the windows near to the zombies and it just seemed to much. Emil, I love your second image, really well done. |

Re: Challenge 426: Spook the street
Thanks again Steve, not 100% happy with my first entry, but did work at it. > But what is lighting this piece of wall? Well in my mind there are focused flood lights apposite. Left hand one out of focus just glows in the mist as a hint. The others were in focus and just capture the painters work (wall and street). > And are you sure the blood should be as bright red as that, in the dim light? I was using another artists protest street work. It is very red, paint not blood, so could not lose that, but understand your point. Trevor |

"I like the arrangement of this trio, but have two questions: why are they so high in the scene, with their eyelines so far above the horizon?" I noticed that after posting - maybe they are hovering? ![]() "And why are they so white, when everything else is green?" I wanted to provide a bit of contrast Thanks Steve _________________ I'm not really bad - I just draw that way |

Thanks, Steve. Yes, I am sure much of the image should have been darker with the moon in that position. It did cross my mind as I pressed the send button. I plead shortage of time. _________________ Man cannot change the direction of the wind but he can adjust the sails |

Re: Challenge 426: Spook the street
thank you Steve, I wondered for the pumpkin, after posting, and I was not quiet satisfied with the orange lamp. I though it would have worked better with a foggy scene. I really appreciated all entries of the week, wonderful scary scenes from everybody. bravo _________________ This is only Love |

Re: Challenge 426: Spook the street
Steve - you said ".... the figures inside the house seem much too big (where would the legs of the man on the left go?),". The figure clutching the bars on the window is crouching/kneeling , hence his low positioning (by the way, he is Jack Nicholson of The Shinning). Re. the lady-who-wants-to-bite-you, well, seems on this night of nights where anything goes seems anything can be right - or wrong. Late entry. I kept adding things but they didn't look right so I left it as this.. ![]() _________________ Quote of the day.. "Photoshop isn't really meant to be used for drawing".. |

Thank you Steve! I had to go back to my PSD file to see what font I had used and yes you are correct. Pretty impressive recognising it with just 2 digits!! ![]() _________________ Wicked Witch of the West: I'm melting! I'm melting! |
