Thanks Deborah. Just no time these days.

Kathryn, the Toby Jug is excellent. I remember doing one of Sarah Pailin for a challenge in November 08. Gerard's face is a perfect fit and you have the glazing spot on. Great job.

Couldn't help thinking about our prince Alexander, who will be king tomorrow (30-04-2013)

And of course his pretty spouse will be queen. No family of Depardieu!

Great images, everyone. I won't be able to play this week or next. Pity as this challenge looked like a lot of fun.

My intention was not to make him look younger, but what he might look like had he had cosmetic surgery at some point........boy, this was a hard challenge, for sure!

You will normally find it under Personal/Change Password, but you can't get to Personal unless you are logged in!
I expect Steve will notice your comment and fix it for you.

Re: Challenge 451: Oh mon Depardieu
Looks like you had some fun with this one - starting with Josephine Harvatt's suggestions for how Gerard could be improved. And followed with a definitely youthful second entry, de-wrinkled but still with that trademark comedy nose (mind you, I can't talk).

A neat solution, too, from Deborah Morley - very nicely made! Perhaps the eye holes are a little too smooth? Some more tearing needed around them, perhaps. A really strong second entry: the hair and ear alone take years off him, as do the new jaw and chin. And the new eyebrows. In fact - is there much left of Gerard in this montage?

Good work from Lorenzo1977, who has lost a lot of the bulk of his face and given his hair a makeover. He's also a much more healthy colour in this one. A little more work on the nose and chin, perhaps?

Plastic surgery gone wrong from Ant Snell - I like the sewn-up eye holes on his forehead! The neck seems too grey, though - try cloning in some skin texture, then use the Burn tool set to Midtones to avoid this happening.

Fine work from tooquilos, with that added beard neatly covering the sagging jaw line. A splendid animated version, too, telling the story of Depardieu's surgery - a great choice of images and poses! I particularly like the operating theatre, with GD covered in bandages on the screen and posters from his films on the wall behind.

A decidedly more youthful Depardieu from Sjef, helped by that hair combed down over his forehead. I like the reshaped nose and chin. A very successful fix! I like the way you've grafted his nose onto the newly-crowned King Alexander in the second entry, although I'm not sure it improves his Queen in the third entry!

It's hard to recognise Depardieu in GKB's entry, although I'm sure he's under there somewhere. You're right, he does look a lot like Andrew Neill... is that where you got the hair and ear from? Most tickled by the baby in the second entry - gross!

Very interested to see Vibeke's version using Portrait Professional, which is a very fine program indeed. It's done a great job of smoothing out the skin, with a little added help from Photoshop... just that neck to be dealt with now!

A subtle entry (how often do I say that?) from Nick Curtain, with Depardieu's eyes and hair peering through a gorilla costume. A few extra elements from the original, such as the frown lines between the eyes, make this a very intriguing image.

Some major wrinkle smoothing from James, with a hugely entertaining animation - I really like the way he flicks away an irritating wasp with his nose, and then an extra flick at the end as a flourish. And you've even animated the wings on the wasp! Amazing!

Excellent wrinkle removal from Frank, with remarkably neat, smooth skin - nicely achieved. A lot of work has gone into this one, and I think it's really paid off.

A lot of smoothing from Ben Mills, with almost every wrinkle blown away - some lost texture in the neck, though, which is a particularly tricky area. Do you think perming his hair makes him more youthful?

I was absolutely, totally blown away by Kathryn's ingenious entry. The features are all there, and the shine on the face is perfect. I have to ask, Kathryn, how did you achieve this? There's a lot more going on here than just Plastic Wrap! Please, let me know your technique, so I can write it up for the next edition of How to Cheat.

Very neat work from jpore, with tinted hair and expert wrinkle removal. I'd leave a few lines under the eyes, though, as they look unnatural with no bags at all. But this is a really accomplished, expert job. Nice work!

A less than subtle entry from Mariner - do you think he's enjoying Russia, then? A very well cleaned-up face, and I like the new hair. Isn't that too much shadow for a single gun, though?

A thorough clean-up from BigVern, with a neatly reshaped chin and a new jawline, as well as a remodelled nose. And it definitely works: he certainly looks very much younger!

Garfield72's Depardieu certainly looks a lot younger, with much smoother skin and fewer chins - and the tinted hair works very well. The skin is perhaps a little too smooth, though; a few more lines might bring the realism back.

A clever entry from Emy, slotting Depardieu's face into a very much more youthful body. Not sure about that background, though - surely he would have been better on the right, looking into the picture? And is that a tiny red flag sticking out of his head?

An "interesting" entry from Jota120, with much twisting and twirling of pixels. He may look younger, Trevor, but I'm not sure he's any more appealing...

A major makeover from michael sinclair, with totally reshaped nose and chin. I like the idea of the new hair and body, but you need to separate the two and recombine them - Gerard's head should be mounted on the neck at the back, not the front. There's also an issue with front-shot hair joining a side-shot head: it will never fit perfectly. Oh, and I can change your password for you - just tell me what you want and I'll do it.

Total wrinkle and sag removal from joeysala, in what looks like a major patching and cloning operation. There is a sense of skin graft here - and don't take out the bags under the eyes completely, as it makes them look artificial. You're right, this really was a tricky Challenge!

Outstanding work from all this week. It was a really difficult one, and you've all risen to the task perfectly.

His hair and ear were donated by his new chum Vladimir Putin with the hair being darkened slightly. The eyebrows were sampled from the hair too.

No. If he is looking for love he is out of luck. Surely no self-respecting Russian woman would want a fat, old, philandering has-been like Depardieu?

Wanted to do something a little different. I hope subtle isn't too boring? He is in fact a real gorilla I photographed at Busch Gardens during our recent holiday.

Re: Challenge 451: Oh mon Depardieu
Thank you Steve.

For the shine, I did use a bit of Plastic Wrap, Soft Light with a layer mask.
I also managed to find a way to use Blend If and lifted the highlights from the original and put a transparent new layer.
I then transformed, added, deleted, and painted those highlights to fit Depardieu face.
