Re: Challenge 520: Platform Zero

A well chosen crowd from Vibeke, who all seem to have just missed the train. The reflections work well, but are perhaps a little too well defined: maybe setting them to Multiply would blend them in better?

Thanks Steve, a good point.

Nothing. It was all just for fun!
Thanks, Steve.

Thanks Steve. I'm not a follower of Harry Potter so I had to do a bit of research as to who was who.

Lots of fun from everyone.

A subtle scene from srawland, with a very dark station and just the shadow of a noose suggesting there's more going on. Nice work - but why is the noose hanging in space? Where's the rest of the rope?

Thank you for your critique, Steve. Hopefully, the rope is still at the hardware store. I have a title for this composition: "Thoughts of Suicide". However, I was afraid if I had added it, I might get a knock at my door from Social Services for a welfare check. Just to be clear: I'm fine. I'm having far too much fun to end my life.

I'm surprised you didn't see the distorted face in the highlights of the train platform.

A nightmare fantasy from Ben Mills, with a giant caterpillar about to be boarded by ants. Inspired by the 000000 name on the platform sign? And I know this sounds absurd, but those ants could do with reflections in the shiny platform...

No reflections, Steve. Would you believe vampire ants?

Steve, thank you very, very much for your correction. (I didn't notice that the radiation was overlapping.)
Of course, on my computer is photoshopCC (last update two months ago), but I am not able to use the new Blur for my (your) train. This new version: On a new train-Layer, I used “Motion Blur” and erased the overlapping radiations. Of course the result isn’t perfect like your “speed” on page 375 of your fantastic book. But life is learning …
P.S.: The parents are sitting in the dining car...

I think you're right to take out the lighting in the second entry - but shouldn't you lose its reflection in the platform as well?

Not really Steve. I felt it was justified by the bright glow at the end of the tunnel behind Joseph Cotton. That's my story anyway ..... and I'm sticking to it! ;o)

On holiday in Rome so won't be filling Sara's booth. Sorry Sara!

Although, on second thoughts, it would have been good to fade it and the platform into shadow in the foreground. Twenty twenty hindsight is so seductive ........
