Re: Challenge 775: Overhead lighting
Great spin Anna... very entertaining! I have no idea what the artist had in mind. Perhaps all the curved lines and the relationship of the unused 'plumb bob'. My initial thought was "hey, it's a plumb bob". Just before the fall. ![]() |

Re: Challenge 775: Overhead lighting
I am sorry Gordon but the opening, to my mind, does not live up to second part, which I like! _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 775: Overhead lighting
I'm sticking with my guess right at the beginning. I think it's a corroded buoy. Lovely animation Anna. Not sure I understand it but very accomplished as always. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

It is one hundred percent that in shape. Given the scale, it's a great leap of thought to arrive at this idea. ![]() ![]() But it's wrong ............ ![]() ![]() ![]() .... and you know it ...... ![]() ![]() ![]() _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 775: Overhead lighting
Happily that bit was done by someone else in the mid-sixties. But then, they didn’t have Photoshop or After Effects/Hit Film. ![]() _________________ Time flies like an arrow but fruit flies like a banana. |

Re: Challenge 775: Overhead lighting
Lots of talk on what this object is? My thoughts, a spinner, a buoy, concrete piece from a retaining wall, - settled on a small space alien capsule. Lots of very nice and well thought out entries - honourable mention to Tom's entry. My theory: http://vimeo.com/363911170 |
