Re: Challenge 793: Valentine's Day
First to set me up on a blind date this week was DavidMac, with a beautifully reconstructed left wall - perfect angle and content. The repositioned lion is splendid, as is the woman hiding beneath the table. Valentine’s cake? Is there really such a thing? A splendidly rebuilt right wall, too, in the second entry, and that ski pole and shattered cake are brilliant.

A blonde with a glass of wine from Ben Mills, about to tuck into a McDonalds extravaganza. (As it happens, I rather like McDonalds. But don’t tell David or Sara.) She does, however, seem to be sitting on a blob of ectoplasm. A simply dark background might work better.

Good to see dwindt has taken time off on his cruise ship (not the Diamond Princess, is it?) to turn in a splendid Pink Panther tribute. Recolouring the lion works really well, but it’s the conversion of myself into Inspector Clouseau that really made me laugh. Absolutely ingenious, Dennis - and immaculately done. I like how you’ve replaced my glasses with a magnifying glass.

Great innovation from Josephine Harvatt’s beer goggles: a really clever idea, perfectly rendered. The woman’s head and the man’s arm appear to blend seamlessly into the bodies behind, with great attention to detail such as adding the white tablecloth while keeping the hexagonal box on the table. Really good, Josephine, immaculately accomplished.

Funny work from Frank, with a perfect-fitting woman whispering in my ear - although she seems to have left an item of underwear on the lion’s head. A good array of drinks, too, with what appears to be oversized chocolate testicles (although I may be misinterpreting those balloons). Good job moving my eyes, too!

A guest appearance from The Muppets from lwc, with Miss Piggy as my hot date. I like the subtle animation of the steam and the parrot. Might I suggest a small change of expression, though?

A spectacular array of extra exhibits from tooquilos, with extra tarot cards and a crystal ball. I enjoyed the animated version, particularly the flickering reflection of the candle in the picture behind my shoulder, and the reflections in the crystal ball. And a great track in on a view of the outside of the museum.

A hot date courtesy of Ant Snell, with a rather splendid blonde wig and appropriate refreshment. Speed dating? I don’t think either of us appear much interested in each other.

A fun two-framer from michael sinclair, with a twitchy dancing action. Very small point: the leg of the chair bottom left needs to be moved in front of the dress reflection.

A glorious image of Tooquilos from Mariner - at least I assume that’s who it is. Some splendid artefacts there, and that tray of sandwiches looks much healthier than the McDonalds offering - even if each sandwich does seem to be somewhat smaller than bite size.

Excellent and really funny work this week.

Now if that's who I think it is, shouldn't she be the other way up?

Thanks Steve, agreed, and Anna, I made your fingers short and stubby. If you do have short and stubby fingers please disregard my last comment.

Thanks Steve. I thought I was going to get hammered for no legs but they are concealed by the table. Anyway, not every day you get the opportunity to get legless with the Pink Panther.
