Michael: plucking good work there, you are a clever plucker

Ah, thank you Michael. What a lovely little ditty it is! I wish I could claim it as my own.

Re: Challenge 796: Mac's Spoonerism
Despite michael sinclair’s early expression of horror, this proved to be a rather entertaining week with a lot of invention.

The first entry to DavidMac’s challenge came from DavidMac himself, with an entertaining critter built entirely from brushes. The tilt of the head makes all the difference. The second entry uses the approach of repurposing the original images, with a perfectly constructed bird’s nest that makes full use of the top-down camera angle. And an ingenious and funny boxing match in the third entry; I suspect much of the time was taken up with removing the original boxers. I like the onlookers, especially the onion the end with the fistful of dollars.

A neatly constructed pheasant from Mariner, created from a rugby ball, a couple of forks and a pair of scissors. I like the simplicity of the composition, and the delicately-added texture on the pheasant.

A pair of puzzled non-art lovers from Ben Mills, brought to life by their querulous poses and expressions. I like how the one on the right has been rotated into a sitting position, with the added eyeball.

I enjoyed the fun band animation from Frank, complete with fireworks and thrown underwear. Have you been playing with motion expressions? Cute - but I’d have flipped the drummer’s head to face the same way as his drums.

A handmade construction from tooquilos, built from kitchenware and posed in a glass case. I like how all the elements jump out of the starting image in the animated version: they’re so well integrated it’s impossible to tell which one’s going to move next. Hard to discern the gender, though.

A 3D-modelled fork and spoon from GKB, comically discussing their lack of inspiration. Charming. Been at the helium again? I see the same approach has gone over the the dark side in the second entry - great title sequence in the animated version, and a really funny entertainment. Love the bolt through the neck.

Despite early protestations of lack of inspiration, lwc turned in a rather charming frog with a fly caught on the tip of its tongue. The butterfly motion is very appealing, especially the pauses between flutters.

An extraordinary marine creature from Ant Snell, with crab crackers for pincers (most appropriate). The anglepoise lamp bases make good legs. My only issue here is the perspective of the background, which doesn’t match the legs; the horizon should be about half way up the shell.

…and then surprise surprise, michael sinclair came up with a stunningly good entry featuring spoon bender Uri Geller. But wouldn’t it be good if his eyes followed the spoon?

Entertaining entries this week. Thanks, David, for the starting image.

Well .... I rather enjoyed my own challenge. Funny thing is, despite being quick off the blocks, I didn't have anything prepared for it.
