Thanks Steve

Point taken about the direction of the planks in the coffin - now I realise why I was fired from my job at the undertaker's.

Sorry about Dracula looking a bit two-dimensional. I looked for a 3d model but they were all too cartoon-ish. The only model I could find in the time I had available was this 3D photoscan of an upper torso so I had to make do with that.

You really need to visit India, Steve. Some of the saris and veils look as though they have been left in a nuclear reactor for 6 months. Some of those colours are really bright. If I hadn't lost my camera I would have posted a shot that I took of a young girl in the brightest yellow and gold sari that you can possibly imagine.

It's very hard to guess the angles right. Can you tell me how to measure them? I'm quite good at measuring.

Not really. It's had to quantify. But your jars all look like they're leaning forwards slightly. It's only a minor detail, I wouldn't have mentioned it except I know how much you value detail.

It's the criticism, not the praise, which I value the most.

Well, that's a relief. I wonder sometimes if I'm being over-critical in these write-ups.

And when I single people's work out to show how I'd have done it - as I did with Frank's entry this week - does it make people feel embarrassed to be made to stand up in front of the class? I hope not.

Steve, I don't mind standing up and being criticised That way I am probably going to learn something.
Maybe I can figure out some way of creating circles in perspective. If I can I may do a short tutorial.

The only thing that slightly jars is the array of bottles on the coffin - something not quite right there. Too close to the edge?

Yes. It troubled me too. The coffin lid is only just below eye level so there is not much perceptible depth to it. So I left it. I just went back into PS and shifted them vertically by just a tiny amount and it is much better.

Although that wasn't entirely the case here, your sharp eye so often spots things I miss.

Concerning your comment to Mariner, be as critical as you like Steve. Aside from all the fun that's what I am here for.

I'm not just here for the beer!

Thank you. Steve. I had wanted to put a reflection, but it was getting late and I'd had a very trying day. It's day by day with this cat and at 2:00 PM yesterday I would have bet he had used up all of his 9 lives. but he had at least another one to spare. The cat amazed the vet too.

The excellent critiques are what makes this site.

- was there really no way to get its angle of view to match the bier?

I tried that, but because of the scale it reduced the roll to just looking like a white square... so I imagined it leaning a bit to show the center paper core, hopefully making it recognizable without finding another way to tell the viewer what it was. I ultimately ignored scale and called it finis.

Thanks Steve.
I agree with your comments. At the time this was first attempt at a panning background and I had a lot of other things (problems ) to sort out and move in conjunction with one another. ie :parent layers and parts. Lots of fun trying though - getting a bald head from all the scratching. Cheers
