Thanks Dennis, I think so too. Btw I watch the Sunny Bunnies every day on TV at 09:10. It's the best show arround at the mo. Everything else is just doom and gloom.

My grandson loves them to. I'm sure he'll prefer your picture over mine.

Re: Challenge 824: Three wheels good

Inspired by Jim's comment regarding Ambulance and undertakers....I visited an abandoned asylum last year called Aradale. The images I've used this week are from there.

Brilliant entries this week. Dennis, your car looks like it's straight out of the Pixar movie, Cars.

Nice work everybody Anna professional as usual

The problem for me where was I going to put this delightful detritus, and then I thought "dump it in a ditch" amongst the "giant sunflowers!"

Thanks JimH. Something that helped me with shadows was a section in "The Advanced airbrush book." I'll post 2 pages in the "problems and solutions" section for you to look at. I hope it's big enough for you to read.

Nice 1 Ant. This world needs lots of adherence to prayer.

Ah Anna. You're video clip didn't relax me this time. Nicely compiled.

Good one Michael. Love the old vehicles.

Re: Challenge 824: Three wheels good
First to free the three-wheeler was lwc, with a funny budget neutering service. Those teeth… it doesn’t bear thinking about. I like the view through the windscreen, and the added shadow. Is the boy a fraction too high, though? An ingenious second entry, with an interesting motion effect; it’ll be interesting to see what Michael Sinclair says about this. Is that John Cleese next to Anna? A spooky third entry - are they hunting bats with bats? I like the idea of the fourth entry, but - your perspective is all over the place! Each of those 3 wheelers clearly demonstrates its relationship to the horizon:

Perfect integration from DavidMac, with the vehicle taking its place among a group of rickshaws. I like the flag and text on the front, and the mime artist is a great addition. The shine on the windscreen is perfect, and really makes the scene work. That’s a truly beautiful second entry, capturing the afternoon light. Perhaps a touch more glass in the windscreen needed. Is that Monsieur Hulot at the controls?

Good to see GKB has taken to the skies again, in control of his own plane. Ingenious reworking of the easyJet logo - but I’m sure it would have been easier to find a p in Cooper Black. I like the use of red and green top hats as port and starboard lights.

A fabulous image from dwindt, with a beautifully converted hot rod. The replacement of the top hat, the tongue, the chrome wheel and engine are all excellent - but the standout feature for me is the conversion of that mudguard into teeth. Beautiful.

A beautiful rebuild from Mariner, willed with characters from a kid’s TV show. I like the eyes on the 3 wheeler, and the delicacy of the view through the windscreen. A point about reflections, though: think of the reflection as being another vehicle upside down, beneath the water’s surface. You’ll see that the perspective lines must still taper towards the horizon:

Note that I’ve only looked at the side - to do this properly would require more effort than I’m prepared to put in!

Magical goings-on from JimH, with what appears to be a self-driving dump truck turning loose sand into a ready-made sandcastle. The wizard makes sense of it all. What’s all that complication going on inside the cage, though? I can’t make sense of that.

I enjoyed Ant Snell’s pope on a budget, and the masked onlookers are a good touch - except that none of them seem to be looking at him. Why is the driver skewed at an angle, though? That, and the shadow, make him look like a cardboard cutout.

A magnificent hearse from tooquilos, beautifully distressed. Was this all inspired by the top hat? Suddenly it makes sense. The asylum in the animated version looks amazing, with terrific additions: those opening gates, the mysterious figures in the window - and the spooky figure of the undertaker himself. I’d love to visit that place.

I hate to admit it, but I rather like how Michael Sinclair has ditched my three wheeler in favour of several of his own. A spinning front wheel needed on the green one - is that an adapted 2CV? - otherwise spot on. In the second entry, though, you really need to have the distant clouds moving more slowly than the nearby ones, for a true sense of distance.

A really fun entry from Frank - an ingenious cautionary tale. I particularly like how all the action takes place off-screen, accompanied by perfectly chosen sound effects. Maybe add a couple of shadows beneath the cars?

It's what I got when I typed 'Frenchman' into Google. It was so silly I decided to run with it!

Yes ... good idea.

Is that Monsieur Hulot at the controls?

Agent Hulot s'il vous plaît!

And thanks for the encouraging comments this week.

Thanks Steve, for your very nice graphic and the advice. It's the usual "can't see the wood for the trees" syndrome. I knew something wasn't quite right but coudn't see what it was.

Thanks Steve
Pleased that you noticed the navigation lights.
As for the ‘easyVespa’ logo, I was so fixated on changing the logo in Photoshop that I never even noticed the blindingly obvious fact that the original is in Cooper Black

Well done everybody. Thanks for the kind words Steve. The teeth were a blast doing. The time comsuming thing was getting the chrome reflections of the vehicle and the sky on the motor.
