finding a rear view of the same man from exactly the right angle must have taken some serious research.

Often a very significant share of the time invested in an image. In this case, to my surprise, I found what I needed almost instantly. I zapped out that entry within a couple of hours. Background restoration took longer than everything else.

Those columns look more Egyptian to me, although I must confess my knowledge of Trojan architecture is sadly lacking.

The scene is from the the movie. It is a set built in Malta. Whether that necessarily indicates authenticity is probably a question best not investigated too deeply.

Thanks Steve. I thought this really dull at first glimpse but then found myself enjoying it.

Thank you Steve...well done everybody.

The hair is fibers so although it took on the texture, it was so condensed that it appeared black. I should have modeled a head of hair for him but never got around to it.

We had 2 lances and 4 swords. Not the kind you'd imagine a knight to use but a counter balanced one. It damn well nearly twisted you arm out of it's socket when you hit the peg. You had to stand up in the stirrups as you passed over the peg and the lance would swing back under then back and higher than your shoulder twisting your body to counter the momentum. Then swing it back in front of you in a vertical position, resting on the cap of the boot, to present to the judges...if you picked up your peg.

A family friend pierced a sword through his horses chest during an event. The sword glanced off the peg and ripped out of his hand. It unfortunately flicked around in the momentum and logged into the horses chest. Very dangerous sport, especially when done in a team. 4 abreast at full gallop, lances or swords flying past your knees etc.

Thanks Steve. I knew there was a reason why I became an Air Traffic Controller rather than a vet
