Loyd I would love to see your animated angel

David as everyone should know spectres glide and hover along; however, he (it) could have been on a skateboard.

A skateboard. How did I miss that!

Re: Challenge 880: Halloween special
Something about your last very slow animation Loyd that is very satisfying.

Some brilliant entries. The light and shadow is great David.
I'm not real happy with my entry this week but here it is

Short and sweet today, Anna, but there's nothing wrong with the video.

Excellent animated angel Loyd, but it would be even better if the angel's hair moved as well giving a convincing wind blowing through and around the angel

Re: Challenge 880: Halloween special
First to help out Lord Elpus this week was DavidMac, with a perfectly-positioned Jacob Rees-Mogg striding out in his finery. The interior of the skull is beautifully realised, and that’s a splendid choice of hinge. I might have added a touch of shadow beneath it. I enjoyed the gnomic destruction in the second entry - you do realise, David, that with all your Googling of gnomes you’re going to be plagued by ads for the damn things for years. A rather beautiful third entry, with a fine couple of characters. I really like the shadow of the railings - beautifully done. The man on the far right, though, could do with a touch more illumination on his left side, don; you think? He looks a bit two-dimensional here.

Spookiness abounds in lwc's entry, complete with radioactive fog. I like the moose’s flashing eyes, but there’s something awkward about its pose: I think it’s the fact that the right knee is higher than the left, which seems to contradict the perspective somehow. A fine three-headed beast - Cerberus, evolved - in the second entry, complete with London taxi. But David is right about the shrinking taxi. And I’m not entirely sure about the masking of the green wall growth: surely it would never be translucent? That’s an interesting selection of costumes in the third entry, but what is the woman on the right holding? I can’t make it out. The oscillating ghost is splendid. Great timing on the fourth entry: that face really takes us by surprise. It would work even better if the hand moved faster than the head, to enhance the sense of proximity. Good mummy movement in the fifth entry. A great array of dead skeletons - doubly dead, perhaps? - in the sixth entry, and I like the dancing ones in front; but, again, I’m not sure the translucency helps. Or is that a ghost of a skeleton? This is all getting a bit meta. Although the clowns in the seventh entry do sort the situation out nicely.

A splendid animation from Frank, with an exploding skull and a nicely wrecked door (and I like the fact that you’ve smashed the glass above it). The lightning and witch are good, but it’s the dancing skeleton that really makes me laugh, especially when it’s joined by the three others. Great work, Frank.

Off-topic entry of the week goes, as usual, to michael sinclair. I do rather like the expanding Grim Reaper, but didn’t you even for a minute consider putting it in my street? Oh, and the skull, when it appears, is much too low. Although it does fit well in the second entry - and I like the lightning. A gliding Reaper in the third entry - maybe he really is on a skateboard. As to the fourth entry - nice Photoshop job, but I can’t see why you’ve posted it in the Friday Challenge section.

Funny work from GKB, with a great selection of skeletons and bats. The sliding skull door is terrific, but I think the rolling tongue might make a somewhat slippery red carpet. Beautifully done, Gordon! A really fun entry.

A splendid metal skull from tooquilos, with an added pumpkin street light and a discarded clown mask. I like the lights inside the windows, which add a lot of depth. I rather liked the animated version: maybe the skull should just rotate back to its starting position at the end?

A beautifully rebuilt street from Mariner, who followed my suggestion and removed the railings - which, for anyone else, would have been a form of torture. The zapping witch is fun, but for me the real draw is the view seen through the open door and the huge window. Great to see a hint of the interior. Small issue: the boy’s head looks like a two-dimensional ink blot.
