Generate this AI... sorry about the moose, temptation was too great.

I always feel a certain comfort whenever I see the moose making an appearance.

Anna commented on AI:
...I was also saddened by how easy it's become. It's taken me twenty years to reach a certain level of proficiency and now a simple selection and a text prompt achieves an astounding result in twenty seconds.

Hear, hear!

Loyd

Anna, very interesting results, so I'll try this "Generative fill" myself.

Thanks David, Thats the wife sitting on the park bench on a concrete slab, best for me I leave her there!

Ooops!

Fortunately my comment was not aimed at the good lady at all but at the 'flying carpet' she is sitting on. Some how it communicates to me as a thin surface floating just above the grass as opposed to a thick one embedded in the grass.

My feelings exactly! I have to confess to some difficulty avoiding finding it de-motivating.

However, for this challenge, I am going to see what it does with text descriptions of the variations I have already offered up here, but I wanted to go completely alone first. On which note ........ your animation is really excellent.

I have accomplished or succeeded in my mission to prove that I can "better" "Generative AI fill". I hope Steve doesn't take it too badly!

Here I have used Steve's original starter image with the original stone wall still extant.

Well it's hard to tell from a GIF. The flicker on the reed reflections is very disturbing (I presume it's meant to indicate ripple).

However, if I examine any single frame, the composite which, in all fairness, you have reduced to something extremely basic and simple, is accomplished and seamless ..... although I am not convinced that a white sky would reflect so blue.

I'm being uncompromising here but you have claimed in bold type that you have accomplished better than AI. In all fairness Michael, for anyone to draw an informed opinion of that, you need to show us the AI generative fill ("water with tall reeds behind"?) with which you wish to be compared.

Thank you David, I missed that one totally and misunderstood your comment. Will make booking with optician.

Me too Anna...

All of your generated images are quite fascinating... I guess one needs to be careful with what you ask for...

This one was more difficult than it looks, five separate animations and twenty-five layers...

Re: Challenger 958: The flood wall
It just occurred to me: AI might be very good at getting rid of watermarks. One of those photos from vishopper.com might be a good test.

Not sure. Never tried, but the new PS remove brush (works exactly like Inpainting brush in Affinity) is now AI assisted and it does a quite remarkable job. I haven't actually tried it on watermarks but I suspect that Adobe may have helped shoot themselves in the foot where pirating Adobe Image is concerned.

Re: Challenger 958: The flood wall
Really have very little time this week as I am trying to catch up on house decortation; it's a bit like real-world Photoshop removing old paint and rotten facias and replacing with new.

So this is a very quick render.

I am out of touch with PS, but I know the impainting brush in Affinity quite well. It will remove watermarks bit by bit leaving a very slight smudge behind. I was looking for something like a one-click global fix with no smudges. Ideas anybody?

WARNING! Generative AI fill. NOT ENTRIES. No Photoshop editing has been used

About half the results work and the other half don't. The acid test is "Does it look fake?

I await Mr MacDonald's efforts...
