I also have duplications. It must be everyone.

Think my arms still need a bit of work, I did this on friday then all of a sudden it was thursday and I hadn't done any more to it. Anyway, when us gals fret about our weight, it's usually bums, tums & thighs we're worrying about...

Shadow and I had the same idea... Please let's hope the poor girl doesn't see this...

Re: Contest 149: Weight gain
First to hit the cholesterol this week was stefan, with a rather artful adaptation of the McDonalds logo. His bulked-up woman is neatly in proportion, with bulges in the right places: areas such as the stomach have been particularly well addressed, and the jaw line is well softened. I particularly like the bulge over the hand - a good observation.

A first Friday Challenge entry from flutterby, and a very neat one: her chubby figure is perfectly in proportion, and looks totally convincing. I particularly liked the way the belly button has been deepened, and the recolouring of the bikini. That's a neat thought bubble, too - very good work, Louise!

Whaler's entry looks as if she used to weigh a lot more, went on a crash diet that meant her skin didn't fit any more, and then topped it all by trying to lose weight in a mangle. If I was her I'd forget the whole diet thing and hit the chocolate box.

Classic work from Wayne - a real stroke of genius. Where did you get the figure from? It has that seaside postcard exuberance that's just perfect! Extremely good work in the second entry , with a portrait that shows a lot of sympathy with the subject. Rather than being a figure of ridicule, this is a real person who's happy with who she is. Very, very good.

An interesting entry from steve hill, who seems to have started out with a boob job and then opted for advanced pregnancy. At least, that's how I'm reading it: a belly distended over the bikini. Hard to tell from the front, of course: this could simply be a low-cut bikini. Adding shadows always helps, but do make sure they're the same colour - and in the same direction - as other shadows in the scene!

A great magazine cover from tooquilos, with an interesting take on the problem: reverse liposuction. It's certainly left her rather lumpy! Those wobbly legs are most entertaining, but there's something very odd going on in the midriff. And couldn't Dr Nick do a quick boob job while he's at it?

GKB has given us a very cartoony approach, with our girl as a Krispy Kreme seller demonstrating one of the hazards of her wares. She does look rather as if she's wearing one of those infatable sumo suits, though: I don't think real people ever get to that shape! An entertaining second entry, which seems to have caught her in mid-wobble: what on earth is going on with her breasts, Gordon? Love the third entry!

Extremely clever work from vibeke this week: at first I thought the reflection was just getting wider, but in fact it's been subtly bulked up with a considerable degree of skill. Of course, the girl with her back to us really makes this one - and placing the dripping ice cream in her hand was a touch of genius. Interesting to see the three stages in the second entry: the treatment of the head is particularly engaging, and the whole body works well as we move from endomorph to ectomorph.

Another comic animation from michael sinclair - although I'm not sure the cloud of steam at the end really represents foaming water! I like the way the diving board bends down in the second frame, but would really like to see it bounce up a little in the fourth.

Rather restrained work from Steve Mac: she looks not just chubby but chilly on the beach on such an overcast day. But how did she get there? Shouldn't we see footprints in the sand? I like the tubby bird in the second entry, with a very neatly included burger.

Subtle work from Dirtdoctor23, with very convincing thighs, arms and stomach. One thing that's been bothering me with a number of entries, but which stands out on this one: the breasts are bigger, but shouldn't the laws of gravity mean they'd also be a little lower on the chest? Either that or the bikini top's really doing overtime. Most impressed with your treatment of my face in the second entry, Neil. Memo to self: must stay off the Mars bars.

A great animation from james - and, at long last, some footprints in the sand! The real work here has gone into the arms: the background figure has them perfectly raised in the air, the foreground figure has one behind her back and the other grasping a swordfish. Slightly curious fingers on this one, which seem to have been inspired by a bunch of bananas; but great animation (even on the shadow!) and the reflection of the leg is a good detail. The before-and-after is nicely animated in the second entry, and the zoom on the water creates a nearly-convincing impression of the tide coming in and out. A good stab at an almost impossible problem!

Is Eggbox trying to tell us his picture is unedited, straight from the camera? Don't think we're fooled for a moment, Ted. But I do think your model has had too long in the sun - she's clearly deeply burnt. I'd suggest either factor 50, or a generous helping of Desaturate. And the dreadful pun in the second entry is absolutely unforgivable. Sand witches! Tee hee! Glad to see she's seeking treatment for her sunburn in the third entry, though.

Cellulite abounds in pauline's entry, with flesh that's wrinkled, dappled and creased. When you start down this route, it's hard to know when to stop: the creases around the stomach area are particularly convincing, but I'm not sure the shading on the legs quite works. A very fine face, though - particularly the double chin.

Intricate work from katew, with subtly expanded arms, legs and face and a nicely deepened belly button. Are her breasts a little mismatched, though? I think a touch of shading on the bikini top would have helped to accentuate their roundness.

A good political comment from josephine harvatt: after all, who wants to be size zero, anyway. But why is she so oversaturated? Has she been falling asleep in one of those self-tanning devices?

A great solution from Deborah Morley, with a neatly fitting shirt: but the legs and face have been expertly puffed up. I think the arms could have done with a bit of the same treatment, though. Is that shirt hand drawn? I want one!

Celosia has given us a rather different model:one who's clearly wide, rather than overweight. It's an interesting approach: certainly, the arms could have done with a bit of attention here, as you say. What's really needed, though, is some shading on that stomach to make it look rounded, instead of flat.

The only entry this week to have montaged in a real overweight figure is from Shadow, and it's a good piece of work: that new body has been artfully and seamlessly blended into the original. The only things I would have addressed are the head, which needs more chins on a body like this; and the line of the top of the bikini, which is just too straight. It should sag under the weight of that belly. Otherwise, very convincing work!

Another saggy body, with Pierre adding the folds and wrinkles. The arms are particularly good, as are the new breasts: and I like what you've done to the head. That stomach, though, looks a little like it's been inflated with a bicycle pump. More stretch marks needed, perhaps?

Very entertaining work all round. As tooquilos says - let's hope this girl does have a sense of humour!

Yes they are a bit lopsided but I didn't want to do much manipulation in that area - I hardly know her!

Thanks Steve. Yes, I thought *just* after I'd uploaded the pic that it should have had a little more shading on the bra.

Re: Contest 149: Weight gain
well I must recognize that this one was hard to me and I didn't reach a good transformation so I haven't posted this time because none of my work was enough convincent to me.

This one is harder than I guessed at first sight but you all have found very convincent and interesting ways to breakthrough.

Hope ti find inspirtation to post the next challenge. c u there

Shadow, and Pierre your entries were wonderfully and disgustingly realistic: absolutely brilliant the pair of you. Now, if you want some flies...
