Many thanks Steve. Hand made windows and wall which is why the door is not impressive-got fed up with it!
Hope you had a good holiday

Thank you Steve for your comments. Hope you had a great break.

I agree with the gloominess of the image...however I was trying to portray an image of loneliness..hence the name Solo Apartments and only one light on ...but somehow I think it got lost somehow LOL

Could you clarify, please Steve, what you mean about the text?

Thank you Steve

Many thanks Steve for your helpful comments! Must learn to draw a proper sun and place it behind the building, but then again, it was supposed to be beginners' work...

I thank you too Steve and hope your break was all you wanted.

According to babelfish the building is the Department of Cheating.

I learn almost as much from your comments as from the book-you must be the most generous author there is.

Hi Anna

Re your comment, "Could you clarify, please Steve, what you mean about the text?",

I'm not sure whether Steve will pick this up, so just in case this may help.

Once you've prepared the text, go to CTRL T and drag the text into position. If you right click with this active, you will be presented with a number of options, i.e. rotate etc. One of these is 'skew' and once selected it will allow you to drag on the top or bottom bounding box handle. Just drag left or right until the verticals of the text are verticle. Depending on the severity of the perpective, which is pretty shallow in this image, you may have to scale the text at both ends to follow the lines of the building.

I have noticed though, that with smart objects, perspective is not presented as an option. Could it be somewhere else please, experts out there??

Nick

High praise indeed!
Here's my technique for matching color and tone:
Sit, stare at the image, tweak, stare at the image, walk away.
Repeat as necessary.

Thanks, Steve! I'm glad you got a chuckle from my "bolt" columns!
