Emma and all, sorry I've been noisy again. Its okay I'll get a taxi soon. So nothing then...........

Again very creative, love it.............

So yes Emma you can give us just one more entry this week?

You know, when I see so much creative work I just stop and look and think.............. does not help me contribute.........

Re: Contest 240: Maritime mayhem
Thanks for the honest crits Trevor. I am working on a revised version now and will post image when done.
Hi Emma,
like the way you have reused the case and kept with the sea theme. Smart idea.
KateW, I really love your interpretation, makes me wish i had a spare 20p for some of that Bubble Gum.
Nick, That is a beautiful image. Great stuff.
GKB, Very striking image, really gets your attention.
Anna, Great work as usual. Brings back childhood memories of a programme called "Picture Box" which used to have a rotating glass box and eerily similar music during the titles.
Powerslave, Very imaginative way you have "used the source, Luke" Sorry couldn't resist.
Brewell, Makes me want to get my tie-dye shirt out, very psychadelic.
Ben, Lovely clean image. Very nice.
Claimant, Great idea and brilliant smoke, Could do with lightening though.
Hope i've not missed anyone out.

Thanks for the kind words Guys. Trevor, I assume your kind critique is directed at mine!

James - you should be in films, perhaps with Anna!

Welcome Emma, to the forum. That is a brilliant image. Look forward to seeing more of your work!!

James you disappoint me!!! I really expected Popeye to break through that glass, grab Olive Oyl, punch Brutus and sail away into the sunset!!!! Fantastic job James

Wayne, thank you for your critique. Never heard of that program, must look out for it. Sounds like its right up my alley. I have a thing about music boxes, particularly Porter music boxes.

Your comments are welcome folks.

Anna, the glass is toughened, and Brutus has sailed off with Popeye’s boat.
Your ballerina is a delight.

Hi Wayne, thanks for your comment.

I guess one of the problems I had was to try to find some kind of object and background for this challenge. I found the statue on google and the background was from another Friday Challenge.

Great work on your picture. The one thing I can point out is the shadow behind the display case. It is to hard of a shadow I think. Try to soften a bit.

Lovely dynamic image Jota - you've got the sea coming in at the bottom of the case very well

Thanks for the tip Luis.
I am working on a revised version at the moment and will be using all of the advice given to improve it.
