Hi Everyone,
Sorry for not being around lately but my son is going to get married and I need to 'flip his house'! Lot of work, can't see plasterboard anymore!
Here is my humble effort!

Greetings to you all!

Took me a few minutes Luis, but I got it. Absolutely brilliant!!!!!! It was the date that steered me in the right direction.

Thank you Shopie, Your work is also nice.

I have to admit that I did not recognise your movie because in my language it was named Mechanical Orange. I like Stanley Kubrick also.

Ok. I'm cheating here. I haven't taken part in the Friday Challenge in ages but I am still addicted to it just following up on you.

Here's mine. This is a self portrait I made about 6 weeks ago (I'm trying to make one a week for a whole year), but it fits the Challenge and I couldn't resist.

Re: Challenge 268: The movie game
A real treat this week - some terrific imagination, and some great gags.

First up was The Mad Lep, with a beautifully composed image for the Silence of the Lambs. I'd lose the signpost here for the sake of extra subtlety, but it's a great look. Good to see you back!

Dr Who crops up in powerslave's montage for Somewhere in Time - not a movie I know, but the Time Lord i a giveaway! And you can't get more obvious than Australia in the second entry...

All the clues to Saturday Night Fever are there in tooquilos's entry - but it took me a while to work out! Perhaps a calendar indicating today is Saturday, rather than a note which could refer to some time in the future? I love the animated second entry - a great depiction of the Seven Year Itch! Who'd have thought there would be so many sevens?

I tried knocking an 'i' out of yell, scream, migraine and all kinds of words that don't even have an 'i' in them before the green hit me... of course, GKB's entry refers to Shrek. Would love to have seen the easier version!

Still having trouble with maiden's entry. Orca may be a boat, but it's also a killer whale movie. And why a model? The false teeth are tricky... Jaws? Help me out here! Like the lighting, though.

What I really like about Nick Curtain's image for Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels is the natural way in which all the elements blend into the scene. Even the smoking barrels seem to make perfect sense in their canalside setting (and a very good choice of lock that is, too). Always unexpected, a real treat.

There's something so convincing about the Kind and I pub sign in Ben Mills' entry - partly the choice of images on the sign, partly the great restraint shown. Good work!

Very amused by brewell's Dirty Harry - that's Prince Harry, for those who don't recognise him. Don't know who the mean-looking guys in the background are. Subtle mud spattering! Just one thing - when an image has the Getty copyright on it that's a clear indication that you can't use it! I'm going to have to remove this montage before they stumble upon it, I'm afraid...

It may have been easy to get, but Les Moore's This is Spinal Tap is a gloriously exuberant piece of work. Is that a real swimming pool? How can anyone have so much money and still be so vulgar? I had real trouble with the second entry - even after seeing The Good, the Bad and the Ugly title, I don't get the Ugly reference. Can't argue with the good and the bad, though! I couldn't work out Altered States in the third entry - although it's obvious when you see the answer! Great movie, though, I remember it well. An incredibly well-hidden dragon in the fourth entry made Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon that much harder - but what a fantastic crouching tiger! And the Jaws in the fifth entry is simple genius. I did have trouble with the American Werewolf in the sixth entry - sure, it's London, but why is the werewolf in a mobility buggy?

Simple, yes - but Sophie's Clockwork Orange is an appealing image, with nicely tinted clockwork parts matching the orange well. Very convincing. It took me a bit longer to get Lord of the Rings in the second entry - a clever reference! For those who don’t know, that's Lord Coe (Sebastian Coe, former Olympic athlete and Conservative MP) who's now in charge of running London's 2012 Olympics. Neat, eh?

It's the inclusion of Sean Connery's face on The Hunt for Red October that makes michael sinclair's entry possible. And I'm sure he'd be flattered by the oversize fig leaf. Why a statue of David, though? Am I missing something obvious? As you say, a good movie.

A touch of inspiration from vibeke, who has recreated scene after scene from Casablanca without actually including a single image from the film itself. And yet it's entirely clear which film this is from, with the period people and cars, Sam at the piano and Louis in his police uniform... ingenious!

I confess I haven't heard of Paris, I Love You - the subject of Jonvee Leo's entry - but the meaning was clear from the images! And the Princess Diaries came through loud and clear in the second entry. You like slushy movies, don't you!

I found it hard to get The Black Dahlia in salfordnurse's entry - partly because a black flower against a nearly back background is almost impossible to identify! A great image, though - the distortion through the vase is a great idea (but it should have been curved, and really should have included the table edge!). An immediate guess for Goldeneye in the second entry - but what a beautiful image this is!

Easy, maybe, but there's something really charming about katew's Moonraker. You need to tuck the rake behind his thumbs, though.

I recognise the car, of course, but the background to Gran Turino in mguyer's image stumped me. Is that a reference I'm simply missing? I confess I couldn't get Gone with the Wind from the second entry - too subtle for me, Marty!

A beautifully accomplished Jungle Book from Deborah Morley - the book is so well integrated into its surroundings! The shadows across it, the plant just in front of the book, all contribute to making the scene look perfect. And the second entry was far from easy, for me at least: I get the reference, but couldn't read The Green Mile from the image.

Good to see Trev back - and a clear For Your Eyes Only. I like the pupils! Hope things get better for you, Trev. This is a good place to blow off steam!

I think the thing that caused me trouble with Tom's entry for Our Man Flint was recognising the piece of flint - hard to identify, especially as it seems to be oozing through some kind of irregular hole. And I didn't have time to trawl through all the 1966 movies in the hope of finding a match!

Waterworld leapt out at me from zapat's entry - is this the same as the Planet Water you refer to? A neat idea, and it works. Perhaps a bit more curvature on the photos?

A great broken prison for james' Prison Break - and I love the idea that a prison would have a flashing neon sign outside. Great smoke and destruction! And you've really got features such as helicopter flight down to a fine art, James.

I'm guessing LonnieK's collection of cars is a reference to, er, Cars... but what a fantastic collection of images! All your montages? Very tasty work.

I think it's the German text in Gerard's entry that made it hard to get The French Connection... is the baguette by itself enough? Yes, I see now that's a connection box, but perhaps one or two more clues - a hypodermic needle, perhaps?

A bumper ten-pack from BigVern. So let me see... I can read The Dark Knight, Trainspotting (clever one, that), Marathon Man (I think), Big Fish, Million Dollar Baby, Brazil, Iron Man and Sea Biscuit. But I'm stumped on the 82 year old boy and the floating sword! Some clever ideas, good to see so many of them in one montage.

Absolutely stumped on Jota120's entry. Jupiter's moons? Io? Moon shadows? Help us out, Trevor!

A fan, a map, an ant... I got really stuck on Luis' entry. It was only by looking up the date on Wikipedia that I managed to pin down Fantasia! Subtle stuff...

Absolutely baffled by Emil's entry. But when I see it's Blue Velvet, the surrealism makes sense - in a David Lynch film, we do expect the bizarre.

Good to see Pierre back, with what's certainly a most impressive image. I haven't come across a film called The Number 23 as your filename suggests - but, er, are you sure 23 is the right number? The image would suggest otherwise. Good comment from Deborah - The Italian Job would have been absolutely up your street!

Good fun this week. Thanks for playing!

I was using the "fat lazy American" stereotype for that one. Before any of you Americans jump on me for that...I am American too. Born and raised here.
Steve, over here in the US some stores provide those carts for their handicapped customers or elderly customers but most of the people that use them are not handicapped ... just lazy...hence the photoshop.
Thanks for all your comments Steve. This weeks challenge was a really good idea.
