Thanks Steve I was really stuck for ideas this week. Incidentally, it's TB1 & 2 in the pic. Whatever would Geoff Tracy say? Nick |

Re: Challenge 278: Drive my jeep
Thanks for the kind words Steve. Had trouble with Charlie's legs, I couldn't find a suitable pic, could only find a head & shoulders shot and tried (unsuccessfully) to rebuild the rest of his body! I'll do better next time. ![]() Thanks for the feedback on the Jeep roof and the yellow lines. The overall idea was that I was trying to be satirical here (failed again!). I read in the UK news that Camilla was photographed unloading/loading shopping into the back of her Land Rover whilst parked on double yellow lines, and some people were upset that she didn't get a parking ticket or reprimanded by a Traffic Warden. ![]() _________________ Mark Goodwin If you do what you have always done, you'll get what you've always got! |

Re: Challenge 278: Drive my jeep
Thanks again Steve, good points. Re Land Rover, I had substituted a ~1983 Royal Airforce Land Rover "Airportable" SIII variant instead of the Jeep in first entry! ![]() Trevor |

Re: Challenge 278: Drive my jeep
Thanks, Steve. This was a fun challenge and yielded many excellent images. 9 separate pix were used in my comp (scene, jeep, 1 for each of the 4 gals, towels, clothes and helmet). Manipulations included fabricating all the reflections, water FX, bokeh, flare, toning, etc. The jeep reflection required slicing up the jeep; flipping, transforming and reassembling all the pieces -- a challenging vehicle at a challenging angle to reflect. I think my result is quite convincing (provided you can believe in floating jeeps) even if not nearly perfect. I'll get there eventually! _________________ Lonnie |
