Re: Challenge 321: Shadow catching
Thanks Steve. Fascinating to see the real shadow and how crisp and dark it is

Thanks for the comments Steve. I found the Einstein image on a web site on science. And yes, I think (sometimes) it takes an Einstein to predict how light interacts with our surroundings .

Thanks Steve. Hopefully my own arrival in Arcadia will be quite a few more Friday Challenges away.

Thanks Steve. I'm really surprised. The real shadow doesn't seem real! Who would have thought it!

Re: Challenge 321: Shadow catching
Thanks again Steve. Behind of course you mean between figures and sun, not the background tree shadows. (Though the sun projects parallel shadows on the ground, when viewed by viewer they have perspective. Tough). I used the stones/leaves shadows on the ground as a refrence, as not really sure of the shape of the tree . Scraped first attempt, should have gone even further on second restart submitted, as you suggested, but I was missing quite a few reference points and time limited this week .. no walk in the park

Steve-
I actually tried to use the original grass, but it had too many variations in Light, and it wouldn't of looked like night.

Re: Challenge 321: Shadow catching
Talk about tricky shadows! Okay, here's my Saturday Challenge:
Make a hole - dug by a dog - at a distance - in a sun of strong shadow -
look real.

Hmmm... maybe I set my standards too high.

Thanks Steve! Interesting to see the real image - I would never have guessed that in a million challenges!
