Thanks Steve -- no that's not me but close -- the ship, sea and sky photos are my own --- for the Friday challenges I guess it pays to shoot everything -- the ship shot (minus the captain) was taken on a visit to the Canadian Coast Guard vessel " Earl Grey", a Newfoundland sea and a Labrador sky.

Seems it's always the small things that trip you up......and always the small things you, Steve, manage to to spot. Thanks for that - tends to keep me on my toes! I look forward to the day that I spot them before you!

Re: Challenge 421: The diving suit

A clever entry from sciteach, with the highly polished diver sharing a cup of oil with R2D2. Great work getting them both to sit down - the limbs have all been very finely rearranged. I like the deep shadow, but why is the top of the table so fuzzy? It may be glowing, but it surely isn't fading away!

Thanks for the feedback. I just read the section on how to make gold, and I realize I could've done better, and simpler, too.
The glow on the table was a sci fi kind of thing, I wanted a glowing tabletop, but obviously didn't get the effect right.
Again, thank you for the thoughtful feedback.

Ah yes - I'm always getting those two confused. R2D2 is the one who looks like a dustbin, right?

Excellent late entry from PaulFXs, in his first Friday Challenge entry. Great polishing, Paul - try to get it in by Friday next time. Welcome to the forum!

Re: Challenge 421: The diving suit
Steve thanks again for comments.
I've only just got back, so late reply (keeps me quiet ). You seem to have been busy with your feedback last week and much appreciated by all I am sure.
I really enjoyed all entries and the feedback on each.

1/- but is the diver just a touch too green? I did not think so, I'm a bit rustic and since it is bronze, alloy of copper and tin, the copper oxidises first and gives the green ting. e.g. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/0e/Assorted_bronze_castings.JPG/170px-Assorted_bronze_castings.JPG Should have got more Brasso out maybe

2/ Well I enjoyed the challenge and happy could complete reasonable quality, before off travelling again.
Cheers, Trevor
