Went and looked. Wonderful work by any standards without even taking into account the time determination that must be required.

I remember the original of this, a great many years ago. A fine interpretation.

That's disappointing. I didn't know there was an original! I really thought mine was! I made it up completely.

I have seen written versions in similar vein applied to all sorts of things. There's one for the movie business which starts with "energy and optimism' and ends with 'reward of the uninvolved'. It was these written ideas that were my starting point for the images.

As Mr Waller said "One never knows .... Do one?".

Re: Challenge 716: A curious tree
Thanks Steve. I enjoyed doing both of those.

The 'reflection' of the dinosaur was a short-lived attempt to create a shadow using the original dinosaur footage but inverted. I had planned on darkening the legs and then blurring them slightly. I didn't proceed with the idea and hadn't noticed that I hadn't switched off the layer.

Yes, I remember Ryuneo; he turned out some amazing work. Do we know whatever happened to him?

An interesting entry from Mariner, with the bough replaced with a curious snake. Is this an Adam and Eve reference, or is that snake just a child’s plaything? I like the cleaned-up forest, with its new floor and greenery.

It's just a child's plaything. I was very short of ideas for this one.

Well I'll be damned. As they say ...... there's nothing new. Amazed I didn't stumble across it when I was searching swing and tyre images.

I'll have to ascribe it to "great minds".........

Thank you, Steve. Tony wasn't sure about the accent so he went with what he knew.

Dazzling lighting effects from lwc, with a misty setting - I really like this. Shame about the jump; couldn’t the effect loop back and forth? A devilish second entry, symmetry turning the tree into a smoke-breathing monster. Nicely conceived. Some terrific animation in the second entry - a great breathing dinosaur.

Thanks Steve.

I've tried all kinds of things to fix the 'jump'. your 30/70% fix, (which was used with this one) a 20/40/60% fix, a loop back and forth (this creates two jumps), and numerous others. With smoke, mist, & fog etc. effects, it just seems to be 'the nature of the beast'. Of course I am always open to try any suggestions that anyone might like to make.

And if that guy intends to keep the "breathing dinosaur" much longer, he's going to need a bigger leash and collar...

Thanks Steve and Sara.
That tree originated from one my walks, seemed like it was trying to escape its current environment as an archer but had lost its mortal coil unfortunately, but alive here.
