Re: Challenge 831: The cauldron
Well done every body. A great challenge highlighting some incredible pointers for photo-choppers.

Thanks for the feed back Steve. Good point re the cauldron's swivel support.

The 3d render was tweaked a lot although most of the scene, apart from the dog and 3 chickens and rooster, are all 3d assets. When I add a photo to an image ( I have explained what I do to match the color ) but in a scene like this, I use the exposure selection under "image" - "adjustment" and offset the image until it is blending with the back ground - and then play with exposure and gamma correction.

I wasn't happy with the high light on any of the faces, including the dogs chest, so I choose "select" "color range" and selected the appropriate color range in the desired area, copied the selection and changed the layer to screen. I tweak the tone until I am satisfied and then Gaussian blurred it

Here is the original 2 renders that I married together.

Thank you Steve. Did not pick up on the spelling error.

Thank you Steve, Unfortunately, I'm not back for good yet, but hope to pop in a little more frequently. I don't think it's a man thing because none of the women on the forum thought of it either.
