Gran Torino was filmed in an old decaying area of Detroit hence the boarded up buildings. The lone leaf in the autumn blown from the trees hence Gone With The Wind. |

Thanks Steve. Yes, they are all my montages. Big Vern. I see Big Fish, Trainspotting, Iron Man, Blade Runner, Seabiscuit, Dark Knight, Million Dollar Baby, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Brazil. But what/where is #10? Edit: Is it The Color Purple? _________________ Lonnie |

Ah yes The Ocra is the name of the boat in Jaws and it's a model because of the film quote "We're gonna need a bigger boat!" which I supplied and the teeth in the glass of course - Jaws ![]() |

Ha ha ha only just spotted it, Ben - I thought it was a phantom post. Thin Red Line, eh? That must have taken you ages in Photoshop... |

Re: Challenge 268: The movie game
Thanks for the nice comments Steve; you almost got there with the 10 film titles. The runner was meant to be on the blade of the sword representing Blade Runner; I guess it was not clear enough. LonnieK - well done you got 9 out of 10 of the titles I had meant to be representing. I had meant the boy with the "I'm 82" badge to be a film called OLDBOY a quite remarkable Korean movie I saw a few years ago http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0364569/ I can see, however, that Benjamin Button would also be quite appropriate, so LonnieK, I will award you 10 out of 10. Well done with also getting The Colour Purple behind the ironing board. Steve - this was a really interesting and fun challenge. I agree with Anna that we should do more of these. How about album titles, song titles, non-fiction non-photoshop book titles etc. I really enjoyed guessing the titles from everyone else - some clever work and ingenious ideas. Cheers Vern |

The number 23, played by Jim Carry featured a guy obsessd by the number 23. He could add up, divide and what not whatever numbers and find 23 as an answer. My self portrait was titled The Week 18, as this was the 18th week... An dsoory to disapoint you guys with no Minis. I'll try and catch up. _________________ |

Re: Challenge 268: The movie game
The Number 23 was a slick film, Pierre. I didn't guess that from your image, but now that I look at the cover photo for the film, it's very clear. Incidentally, I really like your self-portrait series. _________________ Lonnie |

Thanks Steve, glad you saw the irony of no. 2. Not much photoshop in either but great fun to do. And congratulations on guessing most of the titles. Well done Vern, I spotted Blade Runner but not some of the others. Excellent effort to put so many titles in one image. Loved your prison break James. |

Thanks for the comments Steve, I agree the black Dahlia is hard to see, I guess because i knew that it was there and what i was looking at, it was easy to see. I agree with BigVern this was a really good challenge, so maybe a few more along these lines. Theres been some really creative and inventive ideas this week. Pierre really liked you self portrait. Was disappointed about the lack of mini's especially since i am now the proud owner of a blue cooper S. I've got a few shots, and some photoshoped images in my flickr photostream. the links in my profile, let me know what you think. ![]() |

Good to see you back on the board again Pierre. Funny we were only recently talking about past forum members who we hadn't seen post for a long time and your name came up as someone who had been missed. I enjoyed looking at your self-portraits. Thanks Sophie for the kind comment. |
