Contest 74: Kid meets dinosaur
Well, as you've probably expected, this week's challenge takes two images that Marty Guyer has been playing with - a dinosaur photographed at a museum, and Marty's grandson, Max.

This was Marty's original montage, and he asked for opinions. Well, my opinion was that this would make a great Friday Challenge! So here's your task: put together the dinosaur and Max to make an image Max would want to show his friends at school.

It's not that easy: the dinosaur is a little out of focus, and both it and Max are looking upwards. How can we make these two interact? And what setting would you place them in?

Tension was running high on the set... If it wasn't for Max calming them down, it could have been a lot worse! Luckily they managed to cover the black eye with a little makeup before filming commenced!

Another filmposter. Didn't want to copy anyone. But I thought I'd better post it anyway as I've worked on it now.

I was so encouraged by the kind words last week that I am sharing this one:

I thought I would hold back a bit this week. From what I have seen so far, you people are putting mine to shame.

Re: Contest 74: Kid meets dinosaur
As Max's dad, I thought I'd weigh in with my reviews thus far. My father is fairly addicted to these Friday Challenges (he claims he can quit any time he wants, but we've all heard that before!), so I was not at all surprised to see him submit his grandson for a bit of editing magic.

I have to admit that so far, my dad's version pretty much reflects the shot I had hoped to get, but the exhibits were set up in such a way to make it impossible.

As far as the rest of you go, I LOVE G.E.'s CLASSROOM!!!

Not that Paul 2005 could possibly know this, but changing Max's expression to fear is way off base. Well done, but off base. I think Max's reaction would be closer to Mr.Pbody's-- If he could actually have a dinosaur on a leash he'd be a pretty happy kid.

I was getting ready to show Max all of your excellent efforts, but I was happy that I scrolled all the way to the bottom first-- at 4 1/2 years old, I don't think I'm ready to explain his triumphant stance over his fallen buddy.

Keep 'em coming! Great efforts, all.

Paul 2005........ What on earth is that black and white character that keeps coming up at the bottom?? It somewhat looks like Eddie Murphy, but im not sure!

Well spotted Lexus, I hadn't noticed him. You're too young to remember but it's Lord Lucan.
