Challenge 269: Down in the Crypt
I photographed this crypt in a church in France in August. It's lit by lamps placed in the floor, but I think more subtle lighting could show this scene off rather better. And I'm not sure about that section of wall over on the left - it would look better if this was cloned out, I think. The cables are also a little distracting. Anything else that might enhance the scene would be welcome! High res is here.  |

On a ghoulishly fascinating note, apparently the door was Al Capone's cell door in the Eastern State Penitentiary. (I have a morbid fascination with gangsters) |

Thank you everyone for your comments! Glad to have made you smile. 
As far as the sounds go...I have in excess of 13000 sound effects on my computer..all labouriously catalogued. Then with the voices..they are recorded from various sources ie..friends family or myself then distorted/enhanced using Adobe Soundbooth. Nick your image has such an ethereal feel about it. Lovely!
