Challenge 284: It came from space
I was contacted recently by a researcher who investigates UFOs (Unidentified Flying Objects) - alien spaceships, in other words. He asked me to look at a bunch of images of sightings of the same UFO, and tell him how they were faked. I used every technique I could think of and couldn't find obvious construction signs. And that made me think: just how easy would it be to make a convincing UFO image? Take this rather obvious toy spaceship. How would you go about making this look like the real thing? I'm after as much realism as you can manage here. Use all your Photoshop wizardry in this one! High res is here.  |

I tried as much as I can to make it real .... so I didn't use many effects ... I just played in shadows and lights ...

Interesting article. Although that UFO near the water is a pretty average attempt leaving the reflection of the trees on the water, seemingly going right through the UFO.  _________________ Go Hard or Go Home! |

Human beings are mistaken in thinking that Aliens are similar in size to ourselves. The truth is that they can be any size. When you're asleep, they scan your features and beam the image back to their world. For what purpose though?  |
