Challenge 293: Behind the curtain
I photographed this curtain in a church in Suffolk. And a rather splendid curtain it is, if perhaps a little tatty with age.

But what could such a lush curtain conceal? What intrigue might lurk behind it? Your task is to open the curtain and reveal the hidden delights it hides. Of course, I'll be looking for convincingly opened drapery, as well as a seamless transition into the background.

Important note: I'm going to Venice for the weekend next Thursday, so I won’t be able to write up the Friday Challenge on Friday morning. Instead, I'll be doing this (and posting next week's Challenge) on Thursday morning. So your deadline for this one is Thursday, April 1.

High res is here.

Acknowledgements to Caravaggio's "Death of the Virgin". Controversial, circa 1606 ...

So much fiddling, so little time...... Really small stage innit!
Enough though at least to prepare the set.

That's lovely Vibeke I presume the show is Cats, but very nice realistic depth to the picture.

I am very pleased to announce (in proper HTCIP style) that Tooquilos has become a grandmother for the first time. Grandma, Mum (Stephanie) and baby Sophia, 36 hours old as I write this, are doing well. My congratulations to all of you.

Animated version (not up to Anna's standards) here:

Steve,
Hope you have a great time in Venice. Sylvia and I went there for our honeymoon. Say hello to the Danielli for me as you're passing.
