Challenge 319: the pumpkin martini
Yes, I know it's a few weeks until Halloween, but this is a job I was given this week and I wanted to share it with you.

The task was to replace the olives in a Martini glass with a pumpkin.

I had no difficulty finding pictures of the pumpkin and cocktail stick, but with a range of Martini glasses to choose from I picked this one at a slight angle, rather than looking straight at the side.

Placing the pumpkin inside proved harder than I expected. Just how many levels of refraction do we have to deal with here? I'd be most interested to see what you can make of this.

High res is here.

Hi Steve,
Very tricky one, this one. Tried to get a martini glass and looked at the refelection. The only thing I did was drinking the content!!

First attempt however.

Greetings,

Gerard

If you found it hard, Imagine how we feel.

I agree Stefano. As a matter of fact, I think it would be invaluable if Steve would submit his own effort for each weekly challenge. Seeing how the our mentor interprets the brief himself, in addition to his excellent C&C, would be very beneficial.

What do the rest of the FC regulars think of this idea?

Why is it always after posting that mistakes jump to your eyes. Just a better shadow for the olive bowl... Bonne semaine
