Challenge 328: Window dressing
As I was trying to think of a new Friday Challenge last night I happened to walk past the Conran Shop, and noticed this rather striking window display. It's almost as if it could be a real living room.

Of course if it were a real living room, it would have people in it, probably with kids playing with the toys. And they might take some of the price tags off the furniture. And they might... well, whatever else they might do, I'll leave up to your imagination.

High res is here. It's higher resolution than usual, as you'll have some tricky cutouts to make here.

++++++

I'm away in Graz, Austria, next week recording some Photoshop tutorial videos for Video2Brain. So expect next Friday's challenge to include lederhosen and bratwurst.

Steve, I am really impressed over the level of support I got from video2brain some weeks ago. I purchased one of their video courses from Amazon Japan, but unfortunately the CD was somehow damaged. So I called their office in Europe directly, and talked to their technical manager Mr. Fred Andersen. Right after our conversation he put the whole content of the CD on their Ftp server for me to download. They also sent me a new CD with FedEx righ away!

Glad to hear it. They do seem like good people!

That is so exciting! I have the CS5 Core Training and the Techniques for Photographers from video2brain and I absolutely love them. Now can’t wait for the next one to come out.

There comes a moment in a man's life when he is considered aged enough and tubby enough to be asked to be Santa Clause at a Christmas Charity Fair. Today is the day, somewhere in the open air and no, this isn't me in a rehearsal!!!

The babies on the settee are from a creative commoms picture by juhansonin. The others are mine.
I know that the young mum on the chair isn't right. I have tried all sorts of tweaks to make her look OK. However I just can't see exactly what is wrong. (The picture was taken from the wrong angle and I had to fiddle with the perspective.)
Any hints and tips appreciated!

Re: Challenge 328: Window dressing
Nice movie Josephine ...

I am happy that you are mentioning this ... The problem with clothing in Poser is that the textures look extremely unnatural. I just purchased a package with casual clothing for the figure that I have been using this time (and they are quite expensive too! ). But when I put them on , suddenly the images looks extremely fake!

Same thing when I was making the scene with the dolls a couple of weeks ago.

So if you see more of my Poser characters without so much clothing, it is purely (and I stress purely ) because I don't like the fake effect of the clothing textures in Poser.
