Challenge 351: No place for a banquet
It's 155 years since Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins unveiled the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs, the world's first full-size models of extinct species.

So impressed were those who commissioned the sculptures that they held a grand banquet inside a half-finished iguanadon on New Year's Eve before construction was completed - and here's a sketch of that event:

What I'd like you to do is to create a modern-day banquet, dinner party, rave or other celebration inside a half completed dinosaur. Pick your own stone dinosaur from this selection - or, indeed, from any sources you choose.

Not quite inside a dinosaur, but definitely alongside a few...

The dinosaurs decided .. this time..THEY were going to a banquet

Im off the topic this week..slightly...I really struggled with the challenge..however, I used it as an opportunity to explore Reposse and Puppet Warp. Two amazingly powerful tools in CS5!! There is a lot of room for improvement (on my part) but the results were quite astonishing! I found it amazing that I could manipulate a flat 2D dinosaur into something quite life like - movement and appearance!

Anna, I am encouraged by your remarkable dinosaur to try my hand with Reposse, hoping to achieve the same effect. Great stuff.

I am happy James this has encouraged you. It really is worth the effort playing with it. Puts everything into a different dimension. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with
