Challenge 368: Medieval mystery
I happened to visit Aylesford Priory last weekend, and was most taken with this group of buildings. They were built in the 13th century, and have lasted remarkably well.

Of course, they must have looked rather different in those days when the monks had the run of the place, and sanitation wasn't as good as we might like. Can you take us back in time a few hundred years?

High res is here. I've provided the image at a higher resolution than normal, so you can choose whether to decorate the whole scene, or just focus on a section of the building.

Fantastic work Jo and Eva!!!

Even monks need to go to the bathroom in between their vows of silence...

Well we gotto maintain a certain decorum about these issues

No..its Loreena McKennitt and the song title is "Skellig" . As soon as I saw the challenge image..that was the first song that came to mind. Its about a monk and his life as a scribe.

I found this in an old junk shop. Should I take it to the Antique Roadshow ?

This was an experiment--not perfect, but perhaps our esteemed mentor could give us a brief tutorial on some fundamentals.of gifs

Removed on account of being unrealistic
