Challenge 386: The flying car
I've been trying to think of ways of tempting GKB back to the Friday Challenge, and away from the demands of his retirement (ha!). I tested the water with an aeronautical query in the Reader's Gallery this week, which sure enough elicited a response, so I thought a plane-related Challenge might be enough to do the job.

Here's a bright red sports car (is there any other kind?). I was thinking it would make a great basis for a flying car - it only needs the addition of wings and, perhaps, a pilot.

Let's see way you can do...

High res is here

As I understand its a Ford Mustang Fastback ~1967. There are later versions. Not that I am into cars though, but do like the V8 sound from Detroit, especially when see it in several classic US films. Classic Muscle car!

Thanks Trevor, I wasn't sure with that grill on the front. I saw a Mustang for sale a few years ago, '77 or '78 I think, red with black stripe, new engine, new tyres, beautiful, I was tempted to make an offer but the reality of parking, maintenance and fuel costs ended that dream!

In one of the films he and Ron try to get to school in a flying Ford Anglia - not quite as glamorous admittedly ...

Congratulations with your new title Ahmed!

Josephine, one of neighbours had Ford Anglia, but his son could never walk on his front lawn it was "Wembley Turf" . He as a friend, played at my place.... my dad did not care so much, no comment on the other side

Well that will be great it if it is. Again, I don't follow cars. The Jota was made by Laverda (Italy) (Family name). Idiocentric. Well over engineered. (someone is corrupting my comments, so bye for now)

Hi Steve I couldn't miss out on this one but I did want to have a bash at last week's challenge.

We were both wrong Trevor, I have been informed that is in fact an Alfa Romeo Montreal '67 - '73! Phew!

Thought it might look better if the pilot remembered to retract the undercarriage
