Challenge 386: The flying car
I've been trying to think of ways of tempting GKB back to the Friday Challenge, and away from the demands of his retirement (ha!). I tested the water with an aeronautical query in the Reader's Gallery this week, which sure enough elicited a response, so I thought a plane-related Challenge might be enough to do the job. Here's a bright red sports car (is there any other kind?). I was thinking it would make a great basis for a flying car - it only needs the addition of wings and, perhaps, a pilot. Let's see way you can do... High res is here ![]() |

Re: Challenge 386: The flying car
As I understand its a Ford Mustang Fastback ~1967. There are later versions. Not that I am into cars though, but do like the V8 sound from Detroit, especially when see it in several classic US films. Classic Muscle car! |

Re: Challenge 386: The flying car
Thanks Trevor, I wasn't sure with that grill on the front. I saw a Mustang for sale a few years ago, '77 or '78 I think, red with black stripe, new engine, new tyres, beautiful, I was tempted to make an offer but the reality of parking, maintenance and fuel costs ended that dream! _________________ “Art Is Never Finished, Only Abandoned.” |

In one of the films he and Ron try to get to school in a flying Ford Anglia - not quite as glamorous admittedly ... ![]() _________________ I'm not really bad - I just draw that way |

Re: Challenge 386: The flying car
Well that will be great it if it is. Again, I don't follow cars. The Jota was made by Laverda (Italy) (Family name). Idiocentric. Well over engineered. (someone is corrupting my comments, so bye for now) |

Thought it might look better if the pilot remembered to retract the undercarriage ![]() _________________ My neighbour knocked on my door at 2:30am this morning, can you believe that 2:30am?! Luckily for him I was still up playing my Bagpipes. |
