Challenge 412: Paul Simon
I saw Paul Simon perform in London last weekend, and it was a hugely enjoyable concert. Even managed to get a few half decent shots on my iPhone from my vantage point towards the front of the park.

I got one shot early in the evening, with a good-looking image of Paul Simon on the giant monitors either side of the stage, and you can find that here. The best sense of occasion came later, as the night wore on and the stage lights came up, when I got this shot. Trouble is, in the second shot we can only see him from the back in the giant monitors.

Can you take the images from the first monitors and put them on the second, so the scene looks convincing? And full marks if you remember to - no, I'm sure I don't need to point that out to you.

Tricky challenge Steve: A little harder than the first glance would suggest.

Re: Challenge 412: Paul Simon
A faulty Bic

A point of history for my overseas friends.
Bic is a company that makes cheap plastic pens and cigarette lighters.
Lynyrd Skynyrd (pronounced Leonard Skinnerd) was a Southern Rock Band of the last century
famous for the song Free Bird during which, when performed on stage the crowd would take
out their cheap plastic lighters (everybody carried one) and burn them like a stadium full of statues of liberty.

Lynyrd Skynryd ended with a plane crash, thus endowing the practice with a status of permanent cliche.

If you want to know if an American is over fifty years old, pull out a cigarette lighter, hold it up lit, and say emphatically,
"FREE BIRD!" You'll know in an instant.

B'e Well.

Steve, you said....... "And full marks if you remember to - no, I'm sure I don't need to point that out to you......." ditto what Jim says; you are a bit sneaky! So, there are no cupboard doors that need to be reversed - no serious perspective issues - no weird cast shadows. I'm thinking I got it - though. We'll see.
