Challenge 416: The Bronze Bear
This rather splendid bronze bear was photographed by Big Vern in the courtyard of Somerset House, London. A terrific sculpture, indeed. What would it take to bring this beast to life? A body, obviously, but how would you make it look like a living animal? High res is here.  _________________ If you hold on to the past, sooner or later you'll lose your grip. |

Dear Linda, You sharpened the photo, but you'd better blurred the bear's head. Nice expression at the face of the bride. It seems she is already used to the character of her groom!  |

Sjef, I felt that my bear’s head looks like a mask but I didn’t know what I should do. Here the new version. I haven’t sharpened the background but blurred the bear. Thank you for your input! (The scanned photo is older than hundred years. On the wedding photos of that period nobody is smiling.)  |

Challenge 416: The Bronze Bear
The Challenge photo is of a sculpture of a tiger by Ai Weiwei, artist, photographer, blogger, dissident, and, of course, sculptor. It is one of twelve sculptures of the signs of the chinese zodiac which are the rabbit, rooster, goat, rat, dog, horse, tiger, ox, dragon, monkey, snake, and pig, but not in that order.
