Challenge 435: Bareback rider
I don't know what it was about the Romans and nudity, but when looking at this statue in the British Museum recently I felt distinctly uncomfortable. I couldn't imagine even sitting on a horse in this state, let alone trotting. Can you give the poor chap some appropriate clothing? High res is here.  |

What more does an Adonis need than his Ray-bans and a Tangle-twister in his right hand (NB Michaelangelo's "David" was used for the "star part"!) So it's clipperty-clop and flipperty flop...

Cultural Notes: This is the mascot of the football team of the Seminoles of Florida State University here in Tallahassee. The background is at the main entrance to the stadium. Before every home game, Chief Osceola on Renegade gallop out to the middle of the football field, the horse rears up and a flaming spear is planted at the 50-yard line. A great spectacle. They did pretty good this year - 12 wins, 2 losses. Going for the championship next year. _________________ I aim to give pause. |

I have just heard that Johnny Depp is playing Tonto in the new Lone Ranger film and was inspired to do this one.

Some great images so far! I tried dressing him up but the off-the-peg clothing wouldn't fit and my DIY cape and skirt looked rubbish - so I have settled for a shield! And I have turned him into a ghost - we have loads round here (allegedly) so one more won't make any difference.  _________________ Man cannot change the direction of the wind but he can adjust the sails |
