Challenge 488: Robot restaurant

One of the many bizarre sights I encountered in Tokyo was the Robot Restaurant, whose floorshow was a truly over-the-top visual and aural experience featuring a dazzling array of mechanical fantasies.

Here's one of the robots as it prepares for action. When the show got going, this shiny beast was illuminated by rows of parallel green lasers, and it looked most impressive. Can you simulate how the effect might have looked? Or provide your own lighting setup? I'll post the real thing next week.
