Challenge 506: The woodwork shop
I visited a remarkable renovated windmill near Sandwich, on the south coast of England, last weekend. In the grounds of the windmill stood a number of workshops, including this rather splendid woodworking shop (as you may know, woodworking is a passion of mine). It's a shame the scene is lit by a strip light behind the beam, though, especially since there's a convenient lantern hanging right next to it. Can you move the light source? And remove that cable? And perhaps add a carpenter to the scene? High res is here.  |

I don't know how Steve can work in such a dark workshop. He should invest in a strip light. -Sara

Stefan, I really like your recoloring, dramatic lighting and overall composition. Job well done! I recently upgraded from C5>CC I noticed the new “Color Lookup” Adjustment layer. That is a big WOW feature. So cool. Really saves a lot of steps from all the other methods in the past. Also I have found http://www.ononesoftware.com/products/effects8free/ Lots of cool stuff. I first started with Photoshop long ago. Mostly I work with Illustrator and InDesign. Lots of toys in the toy box I always say. I learn something new each time I turn on the computer.
