Challenge 541: Grilled chicken
When I was in Lanzarote recently I visited the volcanic region, where you start the tour at the visitor centre. The main attraction here is the restaurant, which specialises in grilled chicken and lamb. Of course, this is no regular grill. Outside, there's a well which leads down to a pit of molten lava beneath; they place a grill over the top of this hole, lay the food on it, and wait for it to cook over the natural volcanic heat. It's a tricky thing to photograph. Although I managed to lean over far enough to see the lava, it doesn't really look molten in this shot; and I had to expose for the dark interior of the well, which makes the chicken look rather pasty. Can you cook my chicken for me, or substitute it with the meat of your choice (vegetarian option available). And can you make that lava look more - well - more like lava? High res is here.  |
