Challenge 697: The accordion bag
I was on the tube the other day (that's the London Underground, for those of you unfamiliar with it) and spotted this rather splendid handbag, made to look like an accordion.

Notice how the keys are stitched on:

It made me wonder - how many other instruments could be repurposed in such an appealing way? Can you make me a bag, or other container, from a musical instrument?

Re: Challenge 697: The accordion bag
It's a very funny bag - but I don't think the designer has really exploited the idea. It's simply an appliquéd design that hasn't really been integrated.

I bet we can do better here!!!

It's best to stay well clear of funny bags you find on trains!

Another great challenge I have no time to enter. I will be checking in now and again to see everyone's entries.

BAG PIPES

It was inevitable that someone would be unable to resist this pun. So let's get it out of the way ........

I just noticed that Steve also said "or other container". So last ditch effort.

If one these doesn't exist I feel it should. A challenge for one of you cobble together furniture and accessory makers .......?

Well that definitely qualifies as "other container" ....... I am ashamed to admit that my dream might have been a little less modest .......

Ha, ha. Dave bagged it. He purse-sued the challenge with gusto. He's on a roll!

Nice entries through the last weeks everyone.

Re: Challenge 697: The accordion bag
I just couldn't find any inspiration this week so I had a cup of tea and waited for inspiration to come to me ... I'm still waiting.

For those of you not familiar with the singer or song, he is Bernard Cribbins a well-loved British comic actor. 'Right Said Fred' is about some workmen dismally failing to move what is believed to be a piano. It was recorded in 1962 and became a hit for Cribbins reaching no 10 in the pop charts. I let the animation run so that I could get in most of the song.
