Challenge 785: Chelsea eggs
Those of you who have been on the Forum for some time will remember Ted Eggs, whose contributions were always entertaining. Ted no longer takes part but he does look in from time to time, and he recently sent me this photograph of a statue of football supporters at Chelsea Football Ground.

His suggestion was that you recolour the image to bring it to life. Well, we did one of those just a few months ago; my suggestion is that you move them to a new background, and make the background match the sculpture. Oh, and while you're at it: maybe a couple of female football supporters?

Your choice.

High res is here.

Search term: Female Football Fans

How do image search engines prioritise?

Google throws up more or less the mix one might expect but Bing looks like page 3 in the Sun. More cleavage than a man my age can easily cope with.

Sorry, no female statues just yet. Maybe later.

I've never done any re-colours before in PS so this was a complete 'wing it' one!

I'm sure one of the people here is a woman anyway!

Re: Challenge 785: Chelsea eggs
Ive covered 2 out of the 3 requirements for this challenge. I really don't like football and I couldn't find the motivation to even look for images..so I decided to go with this...

They may have been at the wrong type of football game but they still had a good time!

Same image... different background! (and an added cheerleader!)

Re: Challenge 785: Chelsea eggs
A sculptural entry from DavidMac, with some rather fun artworks overshadowed by a couple of enthusiastic Belgian supporters. I wonder how you chose these particular ladies. The religious fervour in the second entry is rather interesting - great colouring.

A fine recolouring job from GKB, neatly placed in the Chelsea ground. They all look a little jaundiced, though - not enough half-time oranges?

A great selection of statues from Frank, including a particularly glorious Trump. I really enjoyed this one.

Excellent work from Born2Run, his recoloured supporters perfectly inserted into the crowd of cheering fans. Bringing that smoke in front of them really helps to tie them into the scene. And a very entertaining second entry. You haven’t lost your touch, Chris.

A group of American-style cheerleaders from lwc, with a recoloured set of fans - an interesting selection of hues there, Loyd; a touch of blue for Chelsea would help. I do like the fireworks, though.

I’m always impressed when Forum members manage to deliver an entry with the subject very small within the scene, and tooquilos's replacement caryatids are a tremendous addition to this building. What are all those white towers, though? The track in to the graveyard in the animated version is beautifully accomplished, and the lighting in the cemetery scene is beautiful. Great to see them in the Trevi fountain, too, and the swinging discus thrower rounds it off nicely. I really enjoyed these, Anna.

A statuesque entry from Ant Snell - an interesting approach, with some curious colouring on the fans. Is that moss on bronze?

A cheery Christmas card from Ben Mills, with a snow scene that looks straight out of It’s a Wonderful Life. Very coherent.

An amazing recolouring job from Mariner - and not just recolouring, but a rearrangement of the cheering fans, which must have been tricky. The new heads are much more convincing, neatly replacing the statues’ heads. Watch the saturation on your blues, though: it’s easy to break the realism by tinting with colours too bright to be true.

Thanks, Ted, for your original image.

Thank you Steve, I thought you would like this one. It took a long time and taught me quite a lot.

Yes, too easy. It's a trap I often fall into. I promise to try better next time.

Thanks. Very easy to do if I am honest.

Re: Challenge 785: Chelsea eggs
Thank you Steve Those white pillars were on the original image..I meant to remove them but forgot. I think they may be speakers or lights?
