Here's an almost startlingly empty room, photographed in the French castle whose moat we paved recently.

I was going to ask you to decorate it for Christmas, but we've decked the halls so many times here's an alternative approach: fill it with a selection of entries - yours or those of others - from this year's Friday Challenges.

I'm away for a week after Christmas, so I'll be writing this up on 10th January.

In the meantime, I'd like to wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Hannukah, Sexy Saturnalia and Wonderful Walpurgisnacht. See you all in 2020.

High res is here.

I find myself rather devoid of inspiration at present. So, as usual in this situation, here is a little bit of vaguely on topic silliness.

Gordon I laughed out loud at the big bang in the middle of a beautiful rendering of "Stille Nacht".

New year's greetings to all; unfortunately, PHOTOBUCKET has been down for about three weeks now; moreover, it has taken/deleted all of my images from this site: in fact I can't even log into Photobucket at present

So no entry from me this week

Gordon you are now "Anna No 2" in your meteoric rise in talented ability--well done!

David your Jig-saw puzzle entry was very, very good, and again well done!

Hope you are up and running again soon Michael. I hear Flickr is losing money hand over fist ......

The New Year card is just fun. Not intended as an entry.

Thank you Anna. "Fine and distinguished" the others may be, but not me. I consider myself to be a bit rough around the edges!

I liked your entry, Anna, and I did wonder if it were possible to loop the film show so that it ran forever.

[EDIT] No, on second thoughts it is is just fine the way it is.
