Challenge 854: Put the man on the horse
I photographed this statuesque pair in a museum in Naples last year. I don't know how they became detached, but can you unite them?

High res is here.

Not a problem, Steve, but can we bring them to life?

As Mariner says. No problem. This is so easy that you are just begging us to move the brief sideways.

Oh come now - when was the last time anyone on this Forum simply did what I asked?

No sooner said than done Steve. A member of the famous Colliseum Clowns. Legendary comedy warm up act before the gladiators and lions.

Re: Challenge 854: Put the man on the horse
Hello Everybody.

I've been preparing an image for a challenge I was interested in. Mine was an idea I had regarding Medusa. I spent age texturing, posing and modelling. Although what I had prepared looked acceptable, I never planned the layout properly and fell flat on my face. So I never submitted it.

I thought I could use the soldiers I posed for that image in this challenge. Far from brief but trying to get some of the mud off of me.

Might be worth a look at the crane's perspective.

But I really like this. A real surprise.

I spent nearly as much time searching for a crane with a better perspective as I did putting the whole thing together. I finally gave up and decide to live with this one.

Let's pretend that since it is a lake in the background that the crane had to pull onto a rather steep embankment to make the final installation... I'm sticking with this story to the bitter end...

I know the feeling Loyd. So sometimes it's easier to make the background fit the foreground.

Lloyd, I posted an image of a very basic telescopic crane in "off topic" discussion. May help.

Thank you Dennis...!

It is much better. The scale changed slightly, but that's okay...

a nice 'joint venture' improvement.

The rider is re-united with his horse .... but you can't see him as he's hiding inside.
