Challenge 1072: Ant's phone box
This week's Challenge comes courtesy of Ant Snell. In his own words: I spotted this splendid flower display in an old phone box the other day, well what else could they be used for now a days? You often come across them used as a book exchange and even the odd defibrillator but apart from that and the obvious Tardis what could the form do with a phone box? Provide your own phone box or the provided cut out. High res is here. ![]() |

Tourist Tat is spot on. I am presuming that there must be a reference that I am completely missing in the second. It's nicely done! _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Not many people know that the original ending to this movie was scrapped as having 'insufficient dramatic impact'. ![]() _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 1072: Ant's phone box
My memories were rolling around about phone boxes all morning, did a little searching around in some old files and found that in September of 2018, that I made an entry for a phone box challenge. An UBER wagon, using a yellow box. I then became curious... what is the significance of yellow versus red if any? |

Researchers have found that old phone booths make great bat traps. ![]() |

Seems American super heroes are not used to British phone boxes .......... ![]() _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Not an entry but thought i would post this while I get something into my brain since David beat me to it with the Superman entry. The ‘Out of Order‘ installation – which consists of twelve tumbling telephone boxes – has been in place on Kingston’s Old London Road since 1989. ![]() _________________ Whatever you do in life do it with the enthusiasm of a 4-year old in a Batman suit. |

I nearly posted that too Gordon. I lived nearby when we were in England. Know it well. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 1072: Ant's phone box
I thought the call box would make a great pair of earrings for the model I'm working on. The call box image masked and a normal, alpha and bump map done in PS then placed on a plane for render with Iray. ![]() _________________ The grass is greener on the other side of the fence because there is more $hit there. |
